Features of the series
GGPoker began its journey to being the "world's largest poker network" in Asia. Therefore, it's not surprising they still host Asian-focused series aimed at players from this region. The most famous of them starts on the day of the beginning of a three-day weekend in China on the occasion of one of the three most important local holidays: Duan Wu Jie.
From June 3 to 19, 2022, the Asia Poker League will be held at GGPoker, guaranteeing ¥80,000,000 (about $12M).
Let's check the similarities compared to the last event:
- The main currency of the tournament series is the Chinese yuan.
- There are 20 Trophy Events, the winners of which will receive unique prizes. Almost all of them are named after local cities, and buy-ins and guarantees are in various Asian currencies.
- Dozens of daily side events for all players. Buy-ins from $1.5 to $1,500
- The most inexpensive tournaments are played in the Speed Racer format (PKO, starting stack of 10BB. The first level of blinds last 20 minutes, the rest, 2 minutes each).
- The first tournaments start in the European morning.

Main Event
The first flight to #20: Main Event, featuring a guarantee of more than $1,500,000 and buy-in of about $283, still start on June 5, 2022, and the final day will begin on June 19.
A total of 52 Day 1 are planned with the following structure:
- Starting stack — 50,000 chips (200BB)
- Blinds increase every 12 minutes
- 16 levels of late registration with unlimited re-entries
After level 20, all players will qualify for Day 2.
Satellites will be available from June 5 for 100 and 200 yuan ($15 and $30), guaranteeing 2 to 5 tickets. For all other Trophy Events, there is a satellite grid.
