Chico network evolution in 2019
According to PokerScout, the Chico Network occupies the 14th position in terms of traffic with an average of over 400 players at the cash tables and almost 900 connections, which means about 83 cash tables and 140 tournaments. It's clear that if Chico wants to level up with other US-friendly networks, it must attract new players, which is precisely what the network is doing:
- Triple UP, a new SnG format was announced in January 2019;
- Jackpot and Flip SnG formats launched in March 2019;
- March Madness promotion is ongoing.
And today the network joins the major sites launching a progressive KO series, which has become very popular in rooms like partypoker.
King of Thrones: progressive bounty series with $150kGTD in prizes
Over 160 events are scheduled to play in April 2019, starting on April 1st until Sunday 28th, where the Main Events will be played; in general, the buy-ins range from $2,20 up to $55.
Every day 8 tournaments will be played with small GTD prizes from $100 ($2,20 HU Turbo Boost) up to $1,500 ($33 6-max). 4-max turbo, 6-max, 8-max, HU, among other formats are part of the schedule.

On weekends the schedule is different, and more money will be at stake with eight events (4 on Saturdays and 4 on Sundays) with GTD prizes of $750 and $1,500.

The last day of the series, April 28th, three main events are scheduled, including a $55 tournament with $15,000GTD in prizes. The other two main events will have a buy-in of $11 and feature a guaranteed prize of $2,500.

Following the partypoker structure, the bounty element will be rake-free, and the commission will vary from 4,5% to 5%. For example, the KOT 2 Main Event features a buy-in of $55, $25 to the prize pool, $27.50 for the KO bounty, and $2,5 of rake. For the lowest buy-in tournaments ($2,20), $1 will go to the prize pool, $1,10 to the bounty and $0,10 as a rake.
During the games, all players can check the bounty element of the opponents which is shown with a target symbol under the villain nickname.
$15,000 Bounty Slayer leaderboard
A $15kUSD leaderboard will along with the King of Thrones series, rewarding the players who knockout more rivals at the tables. One point will be awarded for each knockout and the main event KOT 2 will boost to 4 points each KO. One hundred players will get a prize, and $2,000 are reserved for the 1st place.
Satellites to KOT 2 Main Event
Chico has only made available a qualifier to the main event KOT 2 which has a buy-in of $22: a 3-handed hyper SnG tournament awarding a $55 ticket to the winner and $7,70 to the player in the 2nd place.
