September software update at partypoker
A new edition of the KO Series will kick-off on September 8, and as usual, partypoker takes advantage of this to improve its client.
Now in the upper left corner of the tables of each tournament, players will find a table with important data. On top of the usual information (level of blinds, time left in the level), there will be visible:
- Position: the player's position according to his stack and the number of players remaining in the tournament;
- Average stack: shows the average chip stack of the tournament;
- In The Money (ITM): ITM indicator shows the quantity of paid positions;
- Multicolor display ITM: the tournament position and ITM will be highlighted depending on how close the paid positions of the tournament are:
- Yellow: 20% of players missing for getting ITM;
- Green: when the tournament bubble bursts.
We can say that partypoker adopted some of the functions of PartyCaption third-party software.
Another novelty available for all games is One-click bet. In short, the player now doesn't need to confirm the bet after making his selection; the bet will be placed immediately after clicking on one of the bet slider buttons.
This function will be especially popular at fast poker tables, where you can play up to 6 tables simultaneously, and quick actions are needed. Jaime Staples, member of partypoker team PRO, shared more information about this new function:
September software update at Microgaming
Microgaming will host a new UCOP (Universal Championship of Online Poker) this month, and also took advantage of this to launch new features specially designed for MTT players.
Version 42.1 of Prima client adds a new tournament dashboard; players can open it by clicking on the "i" icon available at the tables. Besides the usual data (total prize pool, current payout) the panel includes new sections:
- Chips Stack:
- Player's stack
The most interesting novelty is the concept of "target stack," which calculates the approximate size of the average stack at the time the players reach the prize area.
Also, different tournament filters were finally added, and players can sort the events by the current state: finished, in progress, registering.
September software update at GG Poker network
Although GG Poker network will host its largest tournament series in September (GG Poker Series 3), the software update released mainly includes new options for cash games players:
- The highest stake of Featured Tables ($500/$1000) was removed;
- NL5 was added to Hold'em section;
- All 9-max NLH tables and PLO tables with ante were removed;
In short, all unpopular tables disappeared from the lobby. But, the addition of NL5 tables will undoubtedly contribute to the growth of the popularity of GG Poker network among beginners. Most likely, low-stakes tournaments would be added in a short time.
