Phil Galfond has Made a €900k Comeback
After taking a long break, Phil Galfond resumed his challenge on March 5. Our last update confirmed that whatever Phil did during his break worked, as on March 19 he had recovered more than €500k from VeniVidi.
On March 22, VeniVidi1993 decided to take a break from the game after losing €220k in two sessions. The match started again on March 26, but the situation didn't change for VeniVidi and again, on March 30, after three sessions with a loss of another €220k, VeniVidi asked to take a couple of days off.
After today's game, where both players battled for 664 hands, Phil Galfond has managed to win an additional €113.680,87, and the overall results are very close to being on his side, with just 2 buy-ins down.

Of course, this isn't the first time that a high-stakes player as overcome a €900k downswing, but it's certainly the first public challenge that gives spectators so much excitement, not to comentionnt the hundreds of ongoing side bets.
There are still 5k hands (about 9 more days) left to complete the challenge and with so many ups and downs, it's clear that anything can happen. The next challenger is Bill Perkins, and certainly, the odds of this match are continuously changing due to the Galfond's stunning results at the tables.
