GGNetwork & WSOP Collaborate On WSOP Super Circuit Online Series
After a few years in crisis, 2020 could be called a year of resurrection for online poker. Not only is traffic booming right now in almost every poker site, but many live poker series are also being scheduled to be played online. This is the case of the WSOP Circuit Events, which recently confirmed a partnership with GG Poker Network to host a festival in May with $100M GTD.
WSOP Circuit Online Series moves to GGPoker Network
GGPoker Network shocked the market today by confirming a new partnership with the World Series of Poker organization to host a series of tournaments on its platform, including 18 events that reward a ring for the champions.
As usual, the WSOP Circuit Online Series will have two guaranteed packages for the $1,000,000 freeroll World Series of Poker Global Casino Championship, an official gold bracelet event. The winner of the Main Event and the champion of the leaderboard will receive these prizes.
The WSOP Super Circuit Online Series will last about three weeks and will have a total guaranteed prize pool of 100 million dollars; the grid include hundreds of events and 18 WSOP rings. In other words, this series will be the largest one in the history of online poker.
The WSOP organization has already confirmed several online events for 2020, but only players living in the US could participate part, but now, as a result of this partnership with GGPoker, we could expect massive fields of grinders trying to write their names in the history of poker.
GGPoker confirmed the German tennis player Boris Becker as the official WSOPC Online Ambassador.
GGPoker WSOPC Online Schedule
The first collaboration of GGPoker and the World Series of Poker resulted not only in an ordinary tournament series, but the most grandiose online poker series of history.
The full WSOPC Online schedule is now available to everyone.
A total of 597 events will be held, and 18 of them will be called Ring Events. Those events will feature a total guaranteed prize pool of $26,500,000. Among them, there will be three tournaments with a record prize pool for GGPoker Network:
- WSOPC Ring Event #8: HR Championship $10M GTD for $25,000 – the largest guarantee in a single event;
- WSOPC Ring Event #9: Mini Main Event $1M GTD for $100 – the "cheapest" millionaire in the history of GGPoker Network.
- WSOPC Ring Event #17: MAIN EVENT $5M GTD for $1,000 – the first "thousandth" with such prizes.

WSOPC Online Series Ring Events Leaderboard
All participants of Ring Events will compete for a ticket to a freeroll event with one million dollars added, a tournament held by WSOP. Points to this leaderboard will be counted according to the following scheme:

In short, the number of participants and the buy-in are not considered, the idea behind the leaderboard is to compete for the highest place in the tournaments.
COVID Charity Event
The WSOPC Ring Event #1: COVID Charity $1,000,000 GTD will donate $111 from each buy-in to the Nevada Community Foundation. Such an organization was established in 1998 and it's composed now by more than 150 charitable foundations.
Why is this so important to WSOP and GGPoker Network?
After hosting a few successful online WSOP events in the US, partnering with a global site such as GGPoker Network open the doors for players worldwide to play first-class events and become a WSOP Champion from home.
The WSOP International Circuit usually visits countries on all continents and is probably trying to emulate this experience with the partnership with the GGPoker Network.
GGNetwork will soon reveal massive campaigns to take advantage of the unique opportunity to host world-class events on their platform. GGPoker Ambassador Daniel Negreanu confirmed the good news via Twitter.
