Sligh overlay in The Big Game
partypoker announced The Big Game back in December 2018, as a way back to offering regular millionaire poker tournaments. The Big Game guarantees a massive prize of $1MUSD with a buy-in of $5,000 + $200 (only 4% rake), and in the past editions had great action at the tables. This weekend the tournament failed for very little to cover the guaranteed prize: 196 players registered to make a prize pool of $980,000, therefore party had to cover $20,000 for the tournament. RPILON won $203,900 for first position and "drakeonne" $148,000 for second one. The partypoker ambassador Dzmitry Urbanovich finished at the doors of the final table at the 9th position, collecting $17,800.
Sunday High Roller Gladiator $200k GTD
The Brazilian Joao "joaosimaobh" Simao, a member of the Team partypoker, won almost $65kUSD in the Sunday High Roller Gladiator $200k GTD, a tournament with a $2,050 + $50 buy-in. 120 players participated in the tournament, covering the GTD prize by $40kUSD. Joao has a successful career as a professional poker player with over $7MUSD in profits.
"omgitsgiraf" took down the Sunday High Roller Bounty Hunter $200kGTD
"girafganger7", or "omgitsgiraf" at partypoker, became popular this month for organizing a boycott to PokerStars which included over 200 high-stakes regs. It seems that "giraf" is enjoying his time at partypoker as yesterday he won a high roller tournament for $45kUSD. 227 players paid the $1,020 + $30 buy-in smashing the GTD for over $30kUSD.
MILLIONS South America 2019
The first stop of the MILLIONS 2019 tour will be in Brazil (South America) from 15th — 24th March 2019. A total of $5MUSD are GTD in the series and two millionaire tournaments are scheduled ($10,300 HR and $1,100 Open). Yesterday we spotted a small overlay in a Satellite tournament for MILLIONS South America. 105 players paid the $1,000 + $50 buy-in for a tournament with 10 packages of 12kUSD for the tournament. partypoker had to cover $15,000, which is indeed more than one of the GTD packages.
partypoker is right now one of the best poker rooms for high rollers looking for MTT action; with a low rake (4% or less) and a great rakeback deal from Worldpokerdeals, the European room is on its way to claim the PokerStars throne on the market.
