Ante or no ante? That's the question
In late 2019, partypoker added antes to Fast Forward (fast-fold poker) games. This was done in theory to boost the action at the tables. And clearly adding an ante forced regs to adjust their game and increase their looseness.
Subsequently, Rob Yong tried to promote a new type of bets with ante blinds of the same size, which according to him, make life more difficult to bots.
Similar regular tables were added to the lobby, but those are not popular. So, Rob wanted to extend this change to fast-fold poker as well, but it never happened.
As of February 13, 2020, the ante will be removed from Fast Forward tables.
Most likely, the management of the room wasn't satisfied with the traffic dynamics and wanted to have a standard game.
Fast-fold poker players have another reason to get mad at the room, because with the launch of the new Cash Game Leaderboards, the exclusive race for them that was being played since summer 2019 was canceled.
It's clear that it is almost impossible to compete with fast-fold poker players for the top places in the leaderboards, but the prizes increased only by $9,000, and the number of payouts almost doubled.
However, Rob Yong promised to almost double the prize pool, but in the next edition of the race, because today it's still $102,000 and not $185k.
