partypoker tournament series in 2019
In 2019, partypoker guarantees over $150M according to its online poker tournament schedule. We have covered the biggest events in the past:
- partypoker announces another Monster Series with $2,5M GTD;
- The KO Series returns to partypoker in May 2019 with over $30MUSD GTD;
- POWERFEST returns to partypoker guaranteeing $30MUSD in 2019
In the post-HUD era, partypoker already held with success a Powerfest, showing that the "anti-reg" measured didn't affect the MTT traffic.
In December 2019 the second edition of MILLIONS Online with $20M will be held at partypoker. Last year, MILLIONS became the biggest online poker tournament ever played.
And for September, partypoker confirmed another KO Series with $30M GTD in prizes and almost 300 events.
partypoker KO Series, 8-22 September 2019, $30M GTD
Progressive knockouts are one of the most famous tournament formats of our time. These feature a "bounty element" (which is rake-free at partypoker) that increases the prizes received by players according to the number of players they busted in the tournament.
Compared to the last KO Series held in May 2019, partypoker is increasing the number of tournaments and changing the "Championship" events for Main Events.
|Description||KO Series May||KO Series September|
|# of events||226||283|
|Championship/Main Events||10 events, $11M GTD||9 events, $2,7M GTD|
Only three events feature a guaranteed prize pool of $1M, and also four high-roller tournaments are part of the schedule. The most crucial day of the series will be September 22, when all the Main Events will be played.
About 30% of the events (including 4 Main Events) will be played in PLO format, something that goes in line with a traffic increase in this format thanks to the renewed fastforward leaderboards.

partypoker adapted this KO Series edition to a different audience of players: the same guaranteed global prize pool ($30M), more events in total but less with massive guaranteed, making it more friendly for low and mid-stakes players. Of course, high-roller and millionaire events are also part of the schedule.
In the last KO Series edition we spotted several overlays, and the changes in the schedule are surely aimed to fix the situation by drawing the attention of more players.
