Super High Roller Bowl also moves to the Internet
PokerCentral decided to offer an online version of one of its flagship brands: Super High Roller Bowl. The results of other events held on the partypoker platform encouraged the SHRB organizers to jump into the train. PokerCentral director J.R. McCabe stated the following:
After a successful Poker Masters Online tournament, we knew we had to continue the momentum with an online Super High Roller Bowl series in lieu of a live tournament this year. Our partnership with partypoker will allow us to continue to deliver what our fans love – live poker from the best players in the world.
Note: The Super High Roller Bowl is a high-stakes live poker series with buy-ins of $250,000 — $300,000, which has been played 11 times since 2015. Most of its participants are world-class poker stars.
Super High Roller Bowl Online $20,000,000 Guaranteed
SHRB Online will have several differences compared to the live series:
- There will be a total of 28 high stakes events;
- Buy-in will range from $10,000 to $100,000;
- The total guaranteed prize pool will be $20,000,000.
A full SHRB Online schedule has yet to be public, most likely because the first event will kick-off on May 23, 2020. We will share all details soon. Right now, there is only information about two events:
- The opening event will have a $25,000 buy-in, and a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000;
- The final main event will be a two-day tournament with a $102,000 buy-in and $3,000,000 guaranteed. This event features a very deep structure with 300,000 starting chips (500/1,000 first level) and a blind structure of 30 minutes.
All other Super High Roller Bowl Online events will have 12-15-minute blinds and 12 levels of late registration.
The transition of a poker brand like Super High Roller Bowl to the Internet will allow many players around the world to join it, including those who will benefit from a comprehensive satellite campaign. Grinders will also get free annual subscriptions to PokerCentral, and the channel will broadcast ten finals live.
