Over the past three weeks, there have been several events related to 6+ Hold'em, both offline and online poker.
First, PokerFuse was able to tell us about the PokerStars plans (even before the room itself posted the information) to add 6+ tables. In the last software update of the PokerStars client, the following files were found:
Based on PokerStars previous experience of introducing new games, those files indicate that players will be able to play Six Plus Hold'em out in a few months.
But PokerStars will be late for the race. The American friendly network Winning Poker (Americas Cardroom, PokerKing, Black Chip Poker) announced on September 10 the launching of Short Deck Hold'em tables. No additional details have been released on the limits or the rake, the tables are now available in the rooms.
Interestingly enough, the launching date of 6+ in the Winning Poker Network matches with the day 1 of the first live tournament on this discipline in the United States: a $10,000 event that was included at the last moment in the 2018 Poker Masters schedule.
In addition to PokerKing Asia, there is only a little traffic on 6+ Hold'em in the iPoker Network. We have spotted 10 tables on NL10-50 limits. Close to midnight, we have seen one NL100 table available.
