WSOP 2020: set records before its start
The first online event in the WSOP was held in 2015. Then, a 3-day event with a $1,000 buy-in drew the attention of 905 players. The first player to win an online bracelet was the American Anthony "casedismised" Spinelle.
Last year, all players located in Nevada and New Jersey battled for nine bracelets on the Internet. Those events had about 3,000 entries.
Recently, the WSOP 2020 schedule was announced with a new record for the number of online events: fourteen.

All events will be played on the WSOP.com site, which runs an old version of the 888Poker software and belongs to the All American Poker Network.
WSOP.com operates legally in Nevada and New Jersey, and any citizen of the USA can register in it, but you can only play from those two states. Of course, right now, many players travel only to play the WSOP online tournaments.
In the future, if online poker is legalized throughout the country, WSOP.com will have the option of becoming a full member of the 888Poker Network, and players around the world can probably play online bracelet events.
Such an opportunity will give a massive advantage to 888Poker over its competitors. In the meantime, you can play against Americans in several poker rooms and networks.
