Hello! I'm Dmitry NewSted, author and editor at Worldpokerdeals.

I got into poker in 2009 playing online tournaments, hunting for events with overlays and massive prize pools. That taught me how each poker room really worked: where the fields were softer, which rooms had the best structures, and which promotions offered real value. I shared my findings and analysis with friends and on poker forums long before it became my job.

Before switching to the poker industry, I spent twelve years as a broadcast engineer at a local TV station. I joined Worldpokerdeals in 2016, and today I write news, market analysis and poker room reviews, mainly in Russian, and occasionally in English. To write a poker room review, I test the site myself, from how the cashier works and what are the general rules, which can change without notice.

What interests me the most is the market behind the tables: where traffic is concentrated right now and why, how legislation affects the player base, and how the rooms adapt when liquidity starts to dry up. Most of my articles cover this, and I keep a close eye on the numbers, including active tables, available stakes, and player mix.

One thing I don’t write about is strategy. Hand analysis and game theory aren’t my field, so I leave that to our specialists.
