Phenom Poker Review

Phenom Poker is a new cryptocurrency online poker room created by a team of renowned players. Team Pro includes Brian Rast, Viktor Blom, Dan Cates, Phil Laak, and other poker pros.

Phenom Poker’s standout feature is its exceptionally broad range of poker games, one of the most diverse lineups in the industry. The client supports both cash games and tournaments in No-Limit and Limit Texas Hold’em, multiple Omaha variants, along with Stud, Razz, Draw, and a variety of mixed games. Most importantly, the tables are active, so players can actually find games running.

According to its creators, Phenom Poker is the first poker platform designed to make every player an owner. The project is structured as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO):

• Bonuses (up to 40% rakeback) are paid in Phenom Tokens (PHNM).
• Staking the token increases rakeback and PHNM accrual with a multiplier of up to x1.5.
• RNG is decentralized and runs on a blockchain.
• Players' bankrolls are stored in external Web3 wallets, and their movement to and from tables is regulated by smart contracts.

Phenom Poker’s biggest challenge remains its low traffic. At present, the poker room has struggled to attract more than a few hundred players online at the same time, and overall table activity is still limited despite the team’s ongoing efforts.

Phenom Poker rakeback

The Phenom Poker loyalty program has five levels. The level of rakeback is determined by how much PHNM the player has staked.

For every dollar paid in rake, the player receives 1 point. Rakeback payments are made weekly in Phenom Token. Requests to exchange PHNM for USDT are typically processed within one week.

Hot Tables are special tables in the Phenom Poker lobby marked with a🔥icon. The first players to join these tables receive extra rakeback of up to 20%. Hot Tables appear randomly and remain available only for a limited time.

Here’s a quick overview of how it  works:

• The earlier you join the table, the higher your bonus rakeback percentage.
• Your bonus is locked in as soon as you take a seat and will not decrease afterward.
• If players leave and the table becomes short-handed again, your rakeback percentage increases.

At 6-max and 7-max tables, the top three players qualify for additional rakeback, while at 8-max and 9-max tables, the bonus is awarded to the top four players.

Phenom Token

Phenom Token (PHNM) is the native cryptocurrency of Phenom Poker, built on the Base network. The total supply is capped at 50 million tokens, with part of the allocation distributed to players through bonuses and rakeback rewards. PHNM can be converted into USDT and used for staking.

PHNM holders and stakers can vote on platform developments and are eligible to receive a share of 50% of the poker room’s rake revenue through weekly USDT distributions.

The value of PHNM is influenced by overall platform activity, generated rake volume, and market demand for the token.

Escalator

Since the beginning of 2026, Phenom Poker has been operating the PHNM staking system with two participation options:

1. Flexible (Escalator). Tokens are not locked and remain available for withdrawal or exchange. The reward multiplier increases over the course of continuous staking: the starting value is 0.25x, and the maximum is 1.50x, reached after 104 weeks.
2. Fixed (Hard Lock). Players can lock tokens for periods ranging from 4 to 104 weeks. In this case, the multiplier is awarded immediately and depends on the selected locking period. With the maximum locking period, players immediately receive 1.50x for the entire staking period. Tokens can’t be exchanged for USDT until the locking period ends.

After the Hard Lock ends, tokens automatically switch to Flexible mode, maintaining the current multiplier.

The rake at Phenom Poker cash games is distributed according to the weighted contributed method (the rake assigned to each player depends on his contribution to the pot).

Phenom Poker is a young online poker site, so the traffic volume is currently at most 200 connections.

Tournaments

The tournament section at Phenom Poker is for fans of exotic games. Unlike most poker rooms, Hold'em tournaments aren't the most popular on Phenom Poker's schedule, and they're a minority.

Perhaps this is why tournaments aren't popular here. As fields tend to be very small. Even freerolls seldom attract more than 100 entrants.

The tournament schedule is constantly updated, but all MTTs are divided into two main groups:

1. Daily GTD. Events with buy-ins of $1-$100 and guarantees of up to $1,200.
2. Weeklies. Events with buy-ins up to $250 and guarantees of up to $7,500.

At least seven freerolls start every day, with prize pools ranging from $25 to $100. The poker room also hosts status freerolls:

Phenom Poker software

Phenom Poker uses its own proprietary client, available for Windows, macOS, and web browsers. Although there is no standalone mobile app yet, the client is well optimized for playing on mobile devices.

The app has a classic interface with a navigation menu at the top and a table lobby at the bottom. On the right side of the window, you can find information about the balance, VIP level, cashier, and settings.

Tables cannot be viewed from the lobby. There are waiting lists.

Players can customize the appearance of tables, change bet sizes, make notes about opponents, and change avatars.

Trackers are not supported. Hand history is only available for the current session at a specific table.

Deposits and withdrawals

The gaming currency and account currency in Phenom Poker is CHIP. Its exchange rate is pegged to the US dollar.
