Juan David Vargas Quiceno, aka Vargoso

Hola amigos! I'm Juan, a Colombian engineer and Head of LatAm for Worldpokerdeals. I am defined by two passions: technology and poker. You could say I was born with one hand on the keyboard and the other on a deck of cards.

I joined Worldpokerdeals in 2016 as a freelance translator. Although my official title is Head of LatAm, my strategic role spans various areas of the company, from content to payments, with a strong focus on operational excellence. I manage partnerships with international poker rooms such as WPN, GGPoker, and Chico, and I have visited the offices (WPN's offices in Costa Rica) of several of them in person. I am directly responsible for maintaining our certifications with GPWA and AffiliateGuardDog.

Within the editorial team, I play, write, translate, audit, and verify crucial content before publication. I love conducting interviews and have sat down with several CEOs in the industry.

I represent the company at international conferences like iGB Affiliate, and in 2026, I personally accepted the iGB award for Best Poker Affiliate in London.

I bring over 20 years of professional experience to the table: a decade spent at major multinational food and steel companies, while simultaneously writing and translating for the gaming industry, and the last 10 years dedicated entirely to the world of poker. I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Colombia (UNAL), with specializations in Project Management (UNAL) and Business Analytics (ICESI), as well as a Master's degree in Digital Business Strategy from ICESI University.

On a personal note, I am a traveler and a sybarite; I am married, and, to be honest, the house belongs to my cats.
