Battle of Malta Online: Our Analysis of the Series' Structure and Mechanics

In our opinion, Battle of Malta Online showcases a fresh approach to boosting player engagement in tournament series. CoinPoker has also been generous with an additional $250,000 in value, awarding 100 packages to the live event.

The standout feature is the exclusive Champion's Trials system. Access to satellites is not purchased directly, but players should earn access through in-game activity. This encourages sustained participation throughout the series, especially with two qualification tiers, three satellite stages, and the possibility of winning multiple packages that can be transferred to other players.

Another major strength is the scale of the festival and its accessible buy-ins. The schedule includes more than 700 side events and 77 Trophy Events with entry fees starting at $2.20, making the series appealing to a broad range of players.

Overall, Battle of Malta Online feels like a well-balanced blend of a flagship tournament series and a large-scale promotion tied to a major live event. It is a format that has yet to be seen in modern online poker.
