Win Your Way to the WPT Prime Taiwan Championship with WPT Global Promotion

How to qualify for a $1M guaranteed tournament for just $0.55

WPT Prime Taiwan Qualifier satellites with a $110 buy-in run daily on WPT Global at 12:05 GMT. From Monday to Saturday, at least one $1,100 ticket is guaranteed; on Sundays, the guarantee increases to five tickets.

The satellite structure is fairly deep:

• Starting stack: 10,000 chips (100 BB)
• Blind levels increase every 10 minutes
• Late registration (with up to 30 re-entries) is open for 11 levels
• Table format: 8-max

Players can qualify for the satellites through three-step paths:

1. Main Path: $1.10 Step → $11 Satellite
2. Second Path: $0.55 Step → $5.50 Satellite
3. Third Path: $2.20 Step → $22 Satellite

Tickets won in the satellites can be used to enter Day 1A or Day 1B of the WPT Prime Taiwan Championship, which features a NT$30M guarantee (~$1 million) and a NT$30,000 buy-in (~$1,100). The tournament will run from January 7–11, 2027, at CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei, Taiwan.

The WPT Prime series last visited Taiwan in 2024, when the Championship event drew 1,470 entries and generated a prize pool of $1,491,706. South Korean player Hyundong Lee took first place, earning $212,938.

Weekly Asia MTT Leaderboard

*The leaderboard is available only to WPT Global players from Asian countries.

From October 19 to December 20, WPT Global will host nine Weekly Asia MTT Leaderboards.

The promotion will award:

• 30 packages for the WPT Prime Taiwan Championship, each valued at $1,600. In addition to the buy-in, the package includes $500 for expenses.
• 91 tickets, each worth $110, for the WPT Prime Taiwan Qualifier satellites every week.

Players earn leaderboard points by participating in any MTTs of the poker room, excluding freerolls and satellites. Registering before a tournament starts earns 1 point, while the points awarded after the tournament are equal to the prize money won, expressed in buy-ins.

The 30 package winners will be determined based on the results of all nine leaderboards. Points toward the package giveaway are awarded according to a player's final position on each leaderboard.

Our opinion on the WPT Global promotion

WPT Global runs satellites for various live poker tours around the clock. For the WPT Prime Taiwan Championship, however, the poker room has gone a step further by launching a special leaderboard and offering additional bonuses to players who win packages and tickets to the event in Taiwan.

Key benefits of the promotion:

• Final satellites with a $110 buy-in will run daily, unlike the ticket giveaways for other live tournaments, which were previously held only on Sundays.
• Players can qualify for the final satellites awarding $1,100 tickets through steps with buy-ins starting at just $0.55.
• Each week, 91 tickets worth $110 will be given to the top MTT players on WPT Global, while the top 30 players on the leaderboard will receive $1,600 packages.

WPT Global will also reward its players during the WPT Prime Taiwan Championship. The luckiest participants will receive various bonuses, ranging from extra cash prizes to iPhones.

Another advantage is that the tickets and packages can be transferred to another player in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
