WPT Global Poker Review
Several thousand players have joined WPT Global Poker through us since it opened in April 2022. Over that time the poker site has made its direction plain: it builds for recreational players and keeps regulars on a short leash. For this review we re-read its terms, checked rake, its licence, RNG certificate and asked the operator's team how the pro label works.
WPT Global, World Poker Tour's real-money online poker site, is worth playing if you come for the games rather than the volume. Its rules and promotions keep the tables recreational: FairGame, the site's system for flagging pros, allows no more than two pro-labeled players per cash table, HUDs are banned, and deposits enter raffles for tournament tickets. For regulars, the main drawback is rakeback: the standing programs cover only PLO, 30% at every stake, and whoever opens an empty high-stakes table.
Among our players who followed the rules, we haven't had reports of account or payout problems, but the license can't be checked in a public register.
In short:
- ✅ Suits recreational players, PLO players at any stake, MTT players who want a satellite route to live WPT events, and crypto players.
- ⚠️ Less suited to NLHE volume regulars: below the high-stakes tables there is no standing rakeback.
- ❌ Not built for rakeback grinders, multitablers and players who need a HUD or poker trackers.
WPT Global welcome bonus
WPT Global's welcome package adds up to $3,348 in several parts. It gives back 100% of your first deposit as cashback, up to $3,000. The cashback is split in two. Our code WPDEALS adds $20 Global Spins tickets to the package.
The first half is released at the poker tables ($1 for every $10 rake, 10% rakeback), while the second half is released in the casino ($1 for every $500 in bets). That casino half is paid only once the full wagering is done.
The minimum deposit is $10. At that deposit level, the package totals $15.20: $5 in poker cashback, $5 in casino cashback, a $2.20 MTT ticket and $3 in Casino Coin. You have 60 days to release the cashback.

The welcome doesn't apply in Mexico. Where the casino isn't available, no Casino Coin is credited and the whole cashback clears at the poker tables; the ticket lineup there is different, too.
Is WPT Global legit?
Yes, but the case rests on what WPT Global publishes and on our players' record more than on its license. The site operates under a Tobique Gaming Commission license (License Number 0000005), and the project has the backing of World Poker Tour. The operator is Everstronglink Limited, a Costa Rican company, and Kashxa Limited in Cyprus is its payment agent.
Tobique keeps no public register and confirms licenses through a validator seal on the operator's site. There is no such seal on wptglobal.com, and its team had no validator link either, so we couldn't check the license beyond WPT Global's own footer.
Players who've joined through us and stuck to the rules haven't had blocked accounts, refused or delayed withdrawals or confiscations. If you do have a dispute, WPT Global's terms say you can take it to MADRE, which is an independent dispute resolution service. You can do this once Support and Customer Services Management have reviewed it.
How WPT Global protects its games
On Trustpilot, WPT Global has a 1.5 rating from 76 reviews, and the most common complaint is that the games are rigged. Against that, the poker site publishes what it catches and pays back the players affected. Key facts:
- WPT Global's security system is called AceGuardian, and an integrity team of more than 50 people.
- In its first cheating report, the operator listed the accounts it banned from January to May 2025 and returned $166,885.07 to affected players.
- In February 2026, WPT Global reportedly paid a six-figure total to several hundred players who flagged violations under its Rewarding Integrity in Poker (RIP) program.
- The random number generator holds a GLI (Gaming Laboratories International) certificate for "A5 Random Number Generator (RNG) Version 1", certified on November 18, 2022 and valid until March 2027.

Who can play at WPT Global?
WPT Global's terms exclude 83 territories; our team can help you check whether you can register from your country. The full list is in our WPT Global country guide.
The closed territories include the United States, the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland included), Australia, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Hungary, the Philippines, India, Singapore and Hong Kong. In Canada, the terms exclude Ontario, Alberta and New Brunswick, and the other provinces are open.
US players can look at ClubWPT Gold instead.
You can play while travelling from any supported country. If you move, simply update your address with poker room support. The terms ban hiding your location with a VPN or proxy, and the site can then block the account and its funds, close it, withhold the money and void winnings.
WPT Global rake and rakeback
WPT Global charges a lower cash-game rake percentage than GGPoker, but its caps are higher at $1/$2–$10/$20. Its standing rakeback programs are limited.
Cash-game rake is 4% under "no flop, no drop", except in Flash (PACE).

Against GGPoker (5% in 6-max NLH), the WPT Global cap is lower up to $0.50/$1: $4 against $5 at that stake. From $1/$2 to $10/$20 it is higher: $8 against $6 at $1/$2, 2BB against 0.75BB at $10/$20.
There is no VIP ladder, only two standing rakeback programs. WPT Global offers all Omaha players a fixed weekly rakeback of 30%, on PLO4 and PLO5 at every stake. Payments are credited to the account every Monday at 2:00 PM CET. The Table Starter Boost pays 40% rakeback for the whole session to the first player who sits at an empty table in the High tab: NLHE from $25/$50 and Short Deck.
WPT Global Poker decided from its foundation that it would focus on recreational players, and one of the most critical points for this is its approach to rakeback. Since August 2024, WPT Global has implemented a policy for affiliate rakeback: players considered by its proprietary FairGame algorithm to be "professional" or "highly skilled" will not be able to receive external rakeback. WPT Global former president Alex Scott has called straight rakeback without any conditions "a terrible way" to reach that goal.
Other promotions
The online poker site also runs raffles, some with guaranteed packages to tournaments in Las Vegas. In the Super Giveaway, a deposit on any day (UTC) gives you a chance at a random tournament ticket, from the $110 Sunday Slam Mystery Bounty to the $530 Grand Slam PKO. The draw includes tournaments overlaid the day before. There is no minimum deposit amount or limit on the number of days you can take part: you could receive a ticket on any day you deposit.
Games and traffic
The poker room lobby has Texas Hold 'em and Omaha PLO cash games, MTTs with buy-ins up to $530 and Global Spins, and the most popular game is NLHE at 8-max tables with straddle and ante. Cash games at WPT Global include:

Tournaments
Weekly guarantees go up to $250K, with MTT buy-ins in both dollars and yuan. The schedule's main feature is regular satellites to World Poker Tour live events. Satellites paid for with Passport Dollars have closed: a Passport balance can still go toward live events and trips until December 31, 2026, and after that it only converts into online tickets.

Global Spins
At WPT Global, Spin & Go tournaments are called Global Spins. Buy-ins are $1, $5, $10, $25, $50 and $100. The maximum multiplier is 6,000x, and from 10x up three players share the prize. Each level has an independent jackpot funded by an extra 1% fee and paid out when the top multiplier hits.
The initial chips depend on the multiplier (the higher the multiplier, the bigger the starting stack, from 400 to 1,000 chips), and the big blinds go up every four hands played.
How soft are the games at WPT Global?
In our players' experience, the lineups are soft, and that is the main reason regulars stay on WPT Global without rakeback. About half of our players there are regulars, many of them pro-labeled.
How does WPT Global treat regulars?
WPT Global doesn't keep regulars out of cash games; it caps how many pro-labeled players share a table. FairGame is its own algorithm for flagging players it considers "professional" or "highly skilled", and the operator's team told us what the label means at the tables:
- No more than two pro-labeled players can sit at one cash table.
- A labeled player can still open a table and collect the Table Starter Boost.
- Players don't see their own label and can't challenge it.
The label also rules out affiliate rakeback deals. For every player, labeled or not, WPT Global's terms ban HUDs, trackers, auto-seating tools, screen sharing and software for taking notes on opponents. For hand review, the client has a built-in AI coach, QuintAce.
Software and mobile app
WPT Global has clients for all operating systems: Windows, Mac, Android, iPhone (iOS). There's no browser version; setup steps are in our WPT Global download guide. It runs on A5 Labs' platform.
Some cash games and tournaments run in Chinese yuan (¥). A lobby button converts CNY amounts to USD, but the tables still play in renminbi; once converted, yuan tables stand out by odd stakes such as $0.03/$0.07/$0.14.
Third-party software, including trackers and hand converters, is prohibited on WPT Global.
Client features:
- Multi-tabling caps by format: 4 cash tables, 7 MTT tables (4 on Mac), 4 Global Spins, 1 Flash (PACE) table, 1 PokerFlips table.
- Rabbit Hunt: borrowed from live poker, it shows the cards that would have come after a hand ends.
- Insurance: you can "insure" your hand against bad beats for a 5% commission in different ways, taking into account your share of the pot or your equity.

- QuintAce: a built-in AI tool for reviewing hands after the session.
Mobile app
The mobile application is available on both platforms (iOS and Android) and has a portrait layout similar to ClubGG's. You can play up to 3 tables at once, in any mix of cash games, tournaments and Global Spins. The iOS app is in the App Store, and on Android you install an APK from WPT Global's site.
Deposits and withdrawals
WPT Global's terms say it aims to process a withdrawal within 72 hours of verification. You can deposit and withdraw at WPT Global with cryptocurrencies. Cards and e-wallets are available too:

Remember that the payment methods depend on your region. No fees are charged for deposits and withdrawals on WPT Global's side, though bank fees or currency conversion charges may still apply. Once WPT Global processes a withdrawal, the money usually takes 1–5 business days to arrive, depending on the method.
Before you withdraw:
- Use the same method you deposited with, or the request can be declined.
- Know that any withdrawal request cancels all your active bonuses.

Account verification
Verification comes before your first withdrawal at the latest: WPT Global can also ask for documents earlier, before crediting a bonus. Checks take up to 48 hours. WPT Global will ask for the usual documents: a valid identity document (passport, driver's license), proof of residency (bank statement, utility bill) not older than three months, and proof of your deposits (both sides of the card). Scans should be in color and uncropped.
