From September 20 through November 29, 2026, WPT Global will give away $12,400 packages to the live WPT World Championship every Sunday through a special satellite.
Satellite features and package content
The $1,060 Golden Pass to WPT Championship satellite runs on WPT Global every Sunday at 20:05 GMT. Each tournament guarantees two $12,400 packages.
Package contents:
- Ticket for the $10,400 Main Event Day 1A on December 13.
- $2,000 for travel and accommodation.
- WPT and WPTG merchandise.
- Access to the players' lounge.
- Discounts on Wynn Las Vegas services.
The first 30 players to win a package through WPT Global will also receive a Golden Ticket. If any of them ultimately wins the Main Event, the poker room will award them an additional $100,000.
Last year’s WPT World Championship generated a $18,277,000 prize pool despite having no guarantee. US player Schuyler Thornton won the event and earned $2,258,856 for first place.
Satellite structure:
- Starting stack: 10,000 chips (100 BB).
- Blinds increase every 12 minutes.
- Late registration with up to 30 re-entries lasts for 14 levels.
- 8-max table format.
Throughout the week, three types of steps are available for the satellite:
- $1.10 → $11 → $110 → $1,060.
- $5 → $55 → $1,060.
- $22 → $220 → $1,060.
Important: Satellite winners should complete verification on WPT Global by December 3, 2026. Players have to be at least 21 years old to participate in the live tournament. The package can be transferred to another player, but doing so means forfeiting the Golden Ticket and any other bonuses provided by WPT Global.
Our opinion on satellites to the WPT World Championship
The WPT World Championship is the flagship event of the year for the WPT brand, making it a dream tournament for many poker players. WPT Global offers an excellent opportunity to make this dream a reality because:
- Satellite winners receive a package that includes not only a tournament entry but also funds to cover the hotel accommodation and airfare.
- The buy-in for the initial steps is just $1.10, so players with any bankroll size can try to win a package.
- A minimum of 22 packages will be awarded across 11 Sunday satellites, giving players plenty of opportunities to win one.
- The final satellite has a sufficiently deep structure for comfortable play.
It is worth noting that a trip to Las Vegas needs to be planned well in advance. The key is to have a valid visa and arrange flights to the US and hotel accommodation ahead of time.
