Svenska Spel Poker review
Svenska Spel Poker is an original Swedish reservation, the largest poker room in this country. It is controlled directly by the government, and even at the registration stage you are required to enter a special personal number that every Swedish citizen is eligible for. At that, Svenska Spel firmly stands on the 15–17th position of the Pokerscout rating, right next to the Chico network and Unibet, and on the 6th position of the private fields rating, which is a great indicator for the reservation that covers only one small country.
The only playing currency is a Swedish krona (SEK). The exchange rate as of January, 2016: 1 SEK = 0.12 USD or 1 USD = 8.58 SEK. In the peak times, which fall on evenings local time, the poker room boasts about 1,200 connections. The cash games are available in 2/5/10-max format.
At the micro-stakes, one can find several dozens of the No Limit tables, up to 6–7 tables of NL50–NL100 USD analogue, 3–4 tables of NL200 USD and, in sum, 4–5 tables of NL400+ USD. The highest stake is NL5K USD, where fierce battles are also observed, by the way. The substantial part of the lobby is represented by the HU games, unlimited in number.
Also there are about 3–4 Omaha tables at every stake up to NL200 USD. At the higher stakes — only episodic action with regulars in the waiting line, mostly heads-up. The highest stake is also 5K USD. The SNG and MTT traffic is somewhat better than that of the typical little fields: one can find action, but only at the micro-stakes. An exception to this are the HU SNGs with decent load up to the $100 analogue.
Svenska Spel Poker utilizes the Boss Media software. Not the worst choice, but don't wait for the miracle. The functional, performance and graphics are on the level enough to play 4–6 tables. One of the main downsides for professionals is the support for the HM2 and PT4 trackers: they are both available, but during their operation the client program starts lagging unacceptably, and all the buttons require a double-click to work.
Svenska Spel offers all the standard methods of deposit/withdrawal: bank cards and transfers, as well as electronic wallets. Since the poker room is controlled directly by the government, keeping your funds here is nearly most safe and secure in the whole online. The withdrawals, on the average, take about 3–4 days.
Svenska Spel is a poker room with great line-ups, very low rake and action in almost any cash games. Besides, the funds on the players' accounts are safer than in any other poker room. The only problem is that you can play in this room only having a passport of a Swedish citizen.
