DraftKings Launches Spin & Go in New Jersey
Americans increasingly have access to more legal poker rooms. DraftKings has added Electric Poker tournaments (a type of Spin & Go) to its casino websites in Michigan and New Jersey.
A New Poker Room in the USA?
One of the gaming market leaders in the United States has decided to enter the online poker market in a very unique way.
The Electric Poker game was added to the DraftKings casino website in New Jersey. This name hides a Spin & Go.
This is the second state where the brand has launched spins; starting in August 2024, Electric Poker is available in Michigan.
DraftKings didn't open its own poker room, but it has added perhaps the most fun poker game to its casino for now. In Michigan, other legal rooms don't offer Spin & Go, but in New Jersey, DraftKings competes with WSOP.com and PokerStars.
Given the company's immense resources, if DraftKings expands its portfolio of such games, the legal online poker market in the United States could soon have a huge operator.
What is Electric Poker?
The structure of Electric Poker is similar to the old version of Blast because, after several levels, the game enters an automatic all-in phase.
Electric Poker Structure:
- Each player receives a 25BB stack at the start of the tournament.
- Blinds increase every 2 minutes.
- Five stakes from $1 to $50.
- 7% rake.
- Multipliers: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 100x, 1,000x, and 10,000x.
Probability of the different multipliers:
Multiplier | Probability |
---|---|
2x | 477,800 in 1,000,000 |
3x | 359,956 in 1,000,000 |
4x | 111,133 in 1,000,000 |
5x | 46,000 in 1,000,000 |
10x | 5,000 in 1,000,000 |
100x | 100 in 1,000,000 |
1,000x | 10 in 1,000,000 |
10,000x | 1 in 1,000,000 |
The number of levels before the all-in stage depends on the multiplier:
Levels/Multiplier | 2x-5x | 10x | 100x | 1,000x - 10,000x |
