888Poker announced for May 2023 the second seasonal tournament series this year: XL Spring Series, featuring a two million dollar guarantee but fewer scheduled events. Read about all the details of the new event in our article.

Features of the series

888Poker will host a spring series for the third year in late May.

From May 21 to June 6, 2023, 888Poker will host the XL Spring Series guaranteeing $2,000,000.

The overall guarantee is $500,000 more with five fewer events. Hence, the average prize pool will increase to $62,500. Also, the average buy-in will remain about the same ($134), with a spread in entries from $5.5 to $525.

The main novelty of the schedule will be the $200,000 GTD #19 Mystery Bounty 8-Max for $160 with a maximum bounty of $20,000, which, like the Main Event, will be a multi-stage tournament with 21 starting flights from May 24 to 29.

The number of re-entries has been increased to 10, and late registration in the vast majority of cases is more than 200 minutes, with the blinds growing every 12 minutes.

Main Event

Xl Spring Series 888 Poker Me

$500,000 GTD XL Spring #32 – Main Event for $250 will be held from May 31 to June 5, consisting of 21 flights. Day 2 will start on June 6.

This time the ME features twice as many flights to avoid overlays. Day 1 will be held in three formats:

Regular	12 minutes	180 minutes
Turbo	6 minutes	85 minutes
Hyper	4 minutes	60 minutes

Regardless of the speed of the tournament:

Starting stack: 10,000 chips (166.7 BB).
Up to 10 re-entries (previously up to 3).
The game ends after level 18 or if 14% of the registered players remain at the tables.

Satellites to the Main Event have already started. So far, two daily $25 tournaments are available in the lobby with three tickets added (steps to it start from centrolls). By tradition, freerolls with $250 tickets should be added soon.
