$2,000,000 GTD XL Winter Series at 888Poker
888Poker unveiled the schedule of their first series in 2024. The next XL Winter Series guarantees over $2,000,000, half of which falls on the Main Event. We will tell you about the festival's features in this article.
Features of the series
From January 14 to 30, 2024, 888Poker will host the XL Winter Series, guaranteeing $2,000,000 across 68 events.
The festival's main feature is the millionaire Main Event for $888 and flights that started almost a month before the tournament. Another $300K of the guarantee will be played in two multi-stage MTTs: $200,000 XL Winter #20 for $162 and $100,000 XL Winter #35 Mini Main Event for $25.
Highlights of all XL Winter Series one-day events (65 of them on the schedule):
- The buy-in ranges from $11 to $525. 45 MTTs feature one of three contributions – $11, $22, $55.
- The guarantees vary from $8K to $100K. The vast majority of events pay up to $20,000.
- The largest one–day tournament - $120,000 XL Winter #02 - Opening, starts on January 14 at 20:00 CET time.
Almost all events will be held in "Mystery Bounty" format.

Main Events
The final day of the $1,000,000 GTD XL Winter #34 Mystery Bounty Main Event starts on January 30.
Four flights (January 14, 16, 18, and 24) will be hosted during the series. The start is at 20:00 CET time with the following structure:
- The initial stack is 10,000 chips (250BB).
- The blinds increase every 15 minutes.
- Late registration period of 240 minutes (with unlimited re-entries).
- For Day 2, all stacks that "survived" to the end of level 19, or when 13% of the registered players remain in the tournament, are transferred.
The final of the $100,000 GTD XL Winter #35 Mini Main Event for $25 starts at the same time as the big Main.
From January 14 to 29, more than 40 flights with the following structure will be held for the tournament:
- The starting stack is 12,000 chips (200BB).
- Blinds increase every 15 minutes.
- Late registration is 240 minutes (with unlimited re-entries).
- For Day 2, all stacks that "survived" to the end of level 19, or when 13% of the registered players remain in the tournament, are transferred.
