PokerArabia Review

PokerArabia is a new skin of the GGPoker network. The online poker room opened its doors on November 17, 2022, and has the first and only gaming license granted by the Lebanese authorities. The company that runs the site, Casino Du Liban, was created in the 1950s when the same name casino was opened in the country.

Poker Arabia joined GGPoker on September 1, 2024. With this, it received a modern gaming client, access to an incredible number of tables in different formats, and monthly promotions with $10M in prizes. Unlike the other GGPoker network skins, PokerArabia has a closed pool of players with cash games in NLH, PLO, and PLO5 with stakes from $0.05/$0.10 to $5/$10.

In this review, we collected the most up-to-date information about PokerArabia and tried to describe the poker room as transparently and comprehensively as possible.

PokerArabia bonuses and promotions

When writing this review (September 2024), PokerArabia does not have a first deposit bonus.
The online poker room has races for different poker formats. Together with the loyalty program, everything can account for a 60% rakeback.

Beginner players are attracted by the bad beat jackpot, which promises vast payouts when losing with powerful hands in any cash game.

Rake structure

The rake at PokerArabia in Hold’em and Omaha is 5% with the following caps (if there are 2-3 players, the cap is half):

A preflop rake is charged on all pots larger than 2.5 big blinds. The rake is calculated based on the PVI (Player Value Index) factor, which considers the entire player profile and history. Most of the rakeback will go to beginner players who have lost money (whose deposits are larger than their withdrawals).

Rake in other poker formats:

• Rush & Cash (zoom fast-fold poker): 5% at all stakes, 3bb limit
• 6+ Hold’em: 5% with a cab up to 3 ante
• In MTT tournaments, the rake is around 10%

PokerArabia rakeback

The FishBuffet loyalty program consists of over 20 levels. All PokerArabia players receive Fish Buffet (FP) points as they pay rake on games.

Upon reaching a new level, the player can spin the wheel of fortune, which offers random bonuses with rakeback from 10% to 100%.

Players who prefer to receive a fixed rakeback can choose one of the Platinum levels.
However, please note that rakeback is not calculated based on the actual rake but considers the PVI rake.

In conclusion, PokerArabia offers many regular promotions with generous prize pools for different types of players. The only drawback, in our opinion, is that the rakeback system is indirect.

Games and traffic

The GGPoker network has been the world leader in online poker traffic for several years. The total number of connections rarely falls below 100,000. For most games and limits, action takes place 24 hours a day. Peak traffic is mixed with European and Asian times.

Poker Arabia players have unlimited access to the entire network pool. In addition, the poker room client has a separate tab, Poker Arabia Exclusive, with a closed pool that has NLH, PLO, and PLO5 tables with stakes from $0.05/$0.10 to $5/$10.

During peak hours, you can see 10-15 Hold’em and Omaha tables.

Cash games: Hold’em, Omaha, Short Deck and Zoom

Almost all cash games in the room are played in 6-max format, which is available in a wide variety of formats. In addition to classic Hold’em and Omaha, you can play All-in or Fold, 6+ Hold’em, Rush and Cash (Zoom fast-fold poker), and PLO5.

The local version of the spins is called Spin & Gold, which has many differences from those offered in other rooms:
