888Poker Celebrates 20th Anniversary
As we wrote above, this is all part of the 888Poker’s 20th anniversary celebrations. Last month, they shared 20 great WSOP stories in their online magazine as part of their festivities.
One of those stories was that of Danny Lavoie, a player who actually signed up for the site on its very first day in 2002! He was surprised by 888 with a $13,000 WSOP package so he could play in this year’s WSOP Main Event. He managed to make it into the money as well, eventually busting in 296th place for $40,900.
