Once again, players from Brazil and Austria came out on top in the flagship Venom tournament. Carlos “S1NISTR0” Rocha collected $748,547 in the Hold 'em event, and in the Omaha event, "Skrretcher9” took first place for $275k.

The Venom has been the most important event on the Winning Poker Network in recent years. On February 5th, two editions of the Mystery Bounty format were played in Hold’em and Omaha. Brazil won first place in the largest guaranteed tournament ($8M).

Carlos “S1NISTR0” Rocha collected $748,547 for his first place in the ACR Poker Venom Mystery.

On the other hand, the PLO tournament was more modest. It was won by “Skrretcher9,” who cashed in at $275k playing with an Austrian flag.

Interestingly, the TOP2 in Hold’em tournament earnings was player “MeDicenElComi,” ranked 137th, as he was lucky enough to get the largest bounty of $500k. In the PLO event, and for the same reason, the largest payout went to American “peyton_manning.”

ACR Poker ambassador Ebony Kenny posted on Instagram that she cashed in at $150k.

Carlos Rocha is one of many Brazilian pros. Before winning Venom, he was in the negative on the WPN network for almost $150k. His live profile includes few tournaments, as in the last three years, he cashed 14 times in various tournaments in Latin America, totaling only $44,570.

The Brazilian entered the final table as the chip leader and held it almost until the end.
The tournament ended with a deal between the top three. Carlos signed it despite having a huge chip lead (69BB vs. 17BB vs. 20BB), almost certainly because he was playing the tournament against old regulars Daniel "SmilleThHero" Smiljkovic and "Thelittle200."
