On Sunday, October 18, ACR Poker will host the final starting flights of the Dual Venom PKOs, featuring $6.5 million in combined guarantees. Several ACR Poker Pros have already secured their spots in Day 2, while fans can follow the remaining players' final attempts live on Kick and Twitch. Here's who's already qualified, where to watch the action and how to get into a Venom for a fraction of the direct buy-in.
The opening stage of ACR Poker's two major Dual Venom PKO tournaments is coming to an end. Sunday, October 18, marks Day 1E — the fifth and final starting flight of both events:
Both flights begin at 1:05 PM ET. For players who haven't yet qualified for Day 2, this is their last chance to stay in contention for the prize pools.
The final starting day promises plenty of action for viewers as well as participants. ACR Poker will host an eight-hour live stream featuring Drew Gonzalez, while the Stormers team will broadcast their sessions on Twitch, giving fans a chance to follow the ACR Poker Pros in action.
October 18 also marks the end of Venom Fever, which offers players opportunities to win tournament seats through lower-cost satellites. Sunday's schedule also includes 12 Venom Specials tournaments.
ACR Poker Pro Drew Gonzalez will host an eight-hour live stream covering the final Dual Venom PKO flights.
The broadcast will air on ACR Poker's official Kick channel and will also be available on the poker room's homepage.
With the Progressive Knockout format, bounties are awarded starting from Day 1, making the action about more than just who advances. The knockouts and bounty payouts will be just as interesting to follow as the flight results.
Fans will also be able to discuss hands and tournament developments in the Kick chat.
Meanwhile, members of the ACR Stormers team will stream their own playing sessions on Twitch. This will give viewers a different perspective on the tournaments, allowing them to follow the action directly from the players' point of view.
Several members of ACR Poker Team Pro have already secured their places in Day 2.
Chance Kornuth leads the ACR Poker Pros who have qualified for PLO Venom PKO Day 2, advancing with a stack of 458 big blinds.
Another well-known player, Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen, made it through his PLO starting flight with 173 BB.
In the NLH Venom PKO, Chris Moorman has also advanced to Day 2 with a stack of 25 BB.
Although their starting stacks differ considerably, all three Pros have already accomplished the main objective of the opening stage: qualifying for Day 2.
The remaining players will have one final opportunity to do the same on October 18.
The direct buy-in for each Venom PKO is $2,650, but ACR Poker offers several ways to win a seat for considerably less.
Players can choose from several satellite formats:
The last option is particularly appealing to players with smaller bankrolls, as they can begin their journey toward a $2,650 ticket for less than a dollar.
However, October 18 is the final day of Venom Fever. Once the promotion and the last starting flights are over, there will be no further opportunities to qualify for these tournaments.
Another route into the Dual Venom PKOs is the Venom Vault promotion.
Every Venom Vault key guarantees a prize. Possible rewards include Survivor Flip Step Satellite tickets and direct Venom tickets worth $2,650.
Eligible players received a free key when the promotion launched. Additional keys can be earned by completing challenges or purchased while the promotion is running.
However, a guaranteed prize does not mean a guaranteed seat in the main tournament. Every key reveals a reward, but the specific prize is unknown in advance.
Venom Vault also runs through October 18, giving players one last opportunity to take advantage of the promotion before the final flights.
Alongside the Dual Venom PKOs, ACR Poker is running the Venom Specials series with more than $10 million in combined guarantees. The series takes place from October 4 to 19.
Sunday, October 18 alone features 12 Venom Specials tournaments with a variety of buy-ins and formats.
Among the highlights are:
| Time (ET) | Tournament | Buy-in | Guarantee |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12:05 PM | Venom Special | $630 | $600,000 |
| 1:05 PM | Venom Special | $1,050 | $500,000 |
| 1:30 PM | Venom Special PKO | $33 | $50,000 |
| 4:15 PM | Venom Special Mystery Bounty | $109 | $100,000 |
Even players who aren't planning to enter a $2,650 Venom can find tournaments with substantial guarantees to suit their bankrolls.
Once the final starting flights are complete, both Dual Venom PKO tournaments will move on to their next stages.
Sunday's flights will determine the final Day 2 fields. Chance Kornuth, Chris Hunichen and Chris Moorman have already qualified, and the last successful players will join them on October 18.
