ACR Poker has launched Halloween Mystery PKO, a series of three tournaments featuring a new format and $650,000 in combined guarantees. The main feature of these MTTs is a new bounty mechanic that combines Mystery Bounties of up to $50,000 with Progressive Bounties that increase after each knockout.
The Halloween Mystery PKO series on ACR Poker includes three multi-flight tournaments. Day 2 of all events starts on November 1 at different times:
| Tournament | Guarantee | Time (ET) |
|---|---|---|
| $109 Mystery PKO | $500,000 | 14:30 |
| $33 Mystery PKO | $100,000 | 16:30 |
| $5.50 Mystery PKO | $50,000 | 23:05 |
Players can choose from multiple starting flights before the final stages. Each Day 1 flight follows this structure:
Play continues through the end of Level 14. Once the level is complete, all remaining stacks automatically advance to Day 2 of the corresponding tournament.
The available flights are listed in the lobby of each Halloween Mystery PKO tournament. Players can enter Day 1 by paying the direct buy-in or qualifying through daily satellites:
As of the morning of October 23, the two highest-buy-in tournaments had attracted more than 1,000 entries each, while the $33 event had surpassed 4,000 entries. Although each MTT still needs thousands of additional entries to cover its guarantee, they are likely to generate prize pools exceeding the advertised amounts. In our view, the main reason for Halloween Mystery PKO's popularity is its new bounty mechanic.

Halloween Mystery PKO combines two types of bounties: Mystery Bounties, which offer randomly determined rewards, and Progressive Bounties, which grow as knockouts accumulate. The format has two key rules:
When a player eliminates an opponent, they reveal a Mystery Bounty. Half of the prize is paid out immediately, while the other half is added to the winner's own Progressive Bounty.
If the eliminated player has accumulated a Progressive Bounty, that amount is also split in half. One half is paid to the player who scored the knockout, and the other half is added to their bounty. This means each knockout provides both an immediate cash reward and an increase in the reward offered for eliminating that player later.
The Mystery PKO stage is active only on Day 2. During the starting flights, players compete for chips and a place in the final stage. Players can enter as many Day 1 flights as they want. If a player qualifies more than once, their accumulated stacks are combined.
This format allows players not only to make repeated attempts to advance but also to build a larger starting stack for Day 2. A bigger stack can provide more opportunities to target opponents with smaller stacks and collect their bounties.
