One of the most recognizable brands in the online gambling industry, Bodog, is officially finishing its history. After nearly 30 years of operation, the company has announced a full rebranding and migration to the new Ozoon platform. The transition has been seamless for users.
On February 17, 2026, the Bodog brand had a major transformation and now operates under the name Ozoon.
Bodog was founded in 1994 by Canadian entrepreneur Calvin Ayre. Originally launched as an online sportsbook, the project had evolved into a full-scale gambling platform by the late 1990s.
Over time, the site expanded its ecosystem to include an online casino and poker room. Today, as part of the PaiWangLuo network, it stands as one of the largest poker platforms for US players.
Bodog quickly gained attention through aggressive marketing and high-profile partnerships with major sports brands, including the UFC and various auto racing series. By the early 2000s, the brand had established itself as one of the industry leaders, particularly across the United States, Latin America, and Asia.
Ozoon is positioned as a next-generation project that builds on Bodog’s legacy and expertise, but offers players enhanced bonuses, a broader selection of game formats, and expanded opportunities to personalize the gaming experience.
The transition from Bodog to Ozoon was completed without requiring any action from the users. All accounts were automatically transferred to the new platform.
Every detail of player accounts, including active bets, bonuses, balances, and game history, was fully preserved. Players can simply log in to the Ozoon website using the login and password of the original account.
Despite the brand update, the platform’s core functionality remains unchanged. Ozoon Poker continues to offer the same games and promotions previously available on Bodog, meaning the rebranding has had no impact on gameplay or the deposit system.
Ozoon represents an evolution of the Bodog platform rather than a replacement. The new brand is focused on ongoing development, enhancing the overall user experience, and introducing additional features in the future.
The phrase “brand termination” is largely standard corporate language that can mean many things. In reality, Bodog has not disappeared. The company simply rebranded to Ozoon for several strategic reasons.
Canada has long been a key market for the poker room. However, in recent years, authorities have increased pressure on offshore operators, particularly on such a well-known brand as Bodog. In July 2025, a court in Manitoba prohibited the site from operating within the province.
At the same time, the legalization of online poker in Ontario and Alberta, home to roughly half of Canada’s population, further complicated Bodog’s legal position.
Almost at the same time as the company’s Canadian website was rebranded, the Bodog Latam moved players to a new skin under Ignition Poker. This shift was part of a business restructuring and an adaptation to regional regulatory requirements.
The introduction of the new brand helps to distance itself from previous legal challenges, reduce reputational risks, and preserve its position in key markets. In practical terms, Ozoon operates on the same core platform as Bodog, but without the controversial regulatory legacy of the older brand.
At the same time, Bodog as a brand is not necessarily gone for good. It could potentially return in Canada or other jurisdictions under a new licensed framework.
