PokerKing (WPN) — all you need to know about the new VIP program

After an epic five-month software upgrade, the Winning Poker Network finally took another crucial step with the launch of its new VIP program. In this article, we analyze the new PokerKing royalty program and all its features.

The current version of the PokerKing VIP program cannot be called entirely new. Before, the same system worked for several years in other rooms of the network, and is well-known by US poker players.

The management of the network decided to unify the VIP program across all skins; therefore, PokerKing players are now subject to the same conditions as other players of the network had for several years. We can say that WPN standardized its offer with the so-called "software update."

Main features of the new PokerKing Royal Club:

  • Six levels (instead of five), two of which are annual;
  • Status Points (SP) are awarded at a rate of 6,6 for every $1 paid in rake at cash games tables;
  • To maintain a VIP level, players need to get twice less SP than the points required to reach the previous level. The poker room also offers an additional 30 days to maintain the VIP level;
  • As the VIP level increases, so does the Royalty Points (RP) ratio;
  • Players get rakeback by exchanging RP for cash by visiting Cashier → Rewards → Loyalty → Points Exchange;
  • Additional bonuses are awarded for obtaining a certain amount of SP per year. These bonuses are shown in the cashier (Rewards→ Loyalty→ Achievements).

Summary

Comparing the new rakeback model with the previous one, we can draw the following conclusions:

  • Players making a monthly rake from $136,36 to $273,3 receive less than 10% rakeback from points exchange.
  • All players who make large amounts of rake up to $72,727.27 per year will receive less rakeback. Those paying $3,500–$4,000 per month will be more affected as their total rakeback will decrease almost twice;
  • The new loyalty system introduces great opportunities for players making over $73k in rake per year, giving 40%+ rakeback;
  • It's still unclear whether PokerKing will offer the fixed 27% rakeback deal available in other skins of Winning Poker Network.
