Phil’s Thrill: The most expensive WPN tournament
WPN CEO Phil Nagy will now be a regular fixture at the online poker tables. Starting July 6, 2025, the Phil’s Thrill tournament with a $10,500 buy-in will kick off every Sunday in the network’s skins!
The first weekly high roller tournament of the WPN network
Until recently, only GGPoker and PokerStars could hold tournaments with five-figure buy-ins every week. Since July 2024, the WPN network has joined this list.
Every Sunday at 2:30pm ET, the Phil’s Thrill tournament with a buy-in of $10,500, named after CEO Phil Nagy, starts at ACR Poker, PokerKing, Black Chip Poker.
In addition to Phil himself, Chris Moneymaker, Chris Moorman and other members of the ACR Poker PRO team will play in the event.
Phil’s Thrill structure:
- Starting stack - 25,000 chips (100BB).
- Blinds speed - 12 minutes.
- Late registration with unlimited re-entries - 2 hours.
- Table - 8-max.
Moreover, you can get into the tournament even without a large bankroll. Three hours before the start of Phil’s Thrill, a $1,050 turbo satellite starts. You can qualify for it through the standard $11 and $109 steps.
Throughout the week, tickets to the tournament can be won in Survivor Flip satellites. Players receive three hole cards, one of which can be discarded, after which the entire board is immediately dealt. The player with the worst combination is eliminated.

- Step 2 for $187,5.
The final table is available to watch directly from the tournament lobby with a 30-minute delay.
The First Phil’s Thrill
The first event took place on July 6, 2025. The tournament attracted 46 entries (33 unique players and 13 re-entries) and $460,000 in prize money.
Phil Nagy was eliminated in 13th place, and Chris Moneymaker made it to the final table, but could not rise above 8th place.
The payouts began with the TOP-6:
- “LelijkeHond” — $138,000
- Thomas “lnauspicious” Santerne — $96,000
- “zas911” — $75,900
- “Konjo” — $62,100
- “gazikov42” — $50,600
- “skxipro” — $36,800.
Worth noting that, Juan “OMGHilarious” Pardo from Spain, who made the most entries – 5, was eliminated on the bubble.
