Triton Poker & Super High Roller Series heads to Russia
Recently, it was announced that after a long break from the summer of 2019, a series of high roller tournaments under the Triton Poker brand will return. The first event will take place from 1 to March 6, 2022, at the Sochi casino (Russia) for the first time in its history. You can find all the details in our article.
Will high rollers come to Sochi?
Despite the live poker revival that began last year (WSOP in Vegas, SHRB Europe high roller series in Cyprus, and PokerMaster in the USA), some important events are still canceled even after the announcement. Such a fate, for example, befell the Czech Republic stage of the EPT.
After a triumphant stage in London in the summer of 2019, which included the biggest buy-in tournament in the history of poker, the organizers of the Triton Poker series were forced to cancel festivals twice due to the pandemic: in London (2020) and Bali (this year).
Still, in less than 2 months, this brand should make a debut appearance in Russia:
From March 1 to March 6, 2022, the Triton Poker Sochi Special Edition will be held at the Sochi casino.
There are only 4 events on the schedule:
1-2 March – NLH 6 Handed $50,000.
2-3 March – NLH 8 Handed $100,000.
4-6 March – Short Deck Ante-only $75,000.
5-6 March – Short Deck Ante-only $125,000.
The official YouTube and Twitch channels of the series will be live streaming these events. According to the Triton Poker traditions, some cash games may also run along with the tournaments.
Super High Roller Series
The series in Sochi will be held in collaboration with PokerGO, so it will become a part of its poker tour (the vast majority of its events take place in the USA). Moreover, another high roller festival will start right after the end of the fourth Short Deck event:
The PokerGO Tour Super High Roller Series (SHRS Russia) will take place from March 6 to March 16, 2022.
There will be a total of ten events with buy-ins ranging from $25K to $50K for most of them:

Sochi hosts an event of this level only for the second time in history (the first partypoker-sponsored SHRS took place here a year ago). Many famous players came to Russia back then: Nikita Bodyakovsky, Phil Ivey, Sam Trickett, Nikita Kuznetsov, Timothy Adams, Adrian Mateos, etc.
We hope that there will also be many top participants this time. Casino visitors and live broadcast viewers will be able to watch their game.
