Americas Cardroom: Doyle Brunson Invites to Charity Tournament

The oldest winner of the WSOP Main Event and the world poker legend, Doyle Brunson, had almost nothing to do with online poker for almost nine years, but yesterday for the first time in many years he backed the US-friendly site Americas Cardroom with a short message. Why?

Last night, the 86-yeard-old poker player posted on his Twitter account to his almost 400k followers:

"Go to the 2nd biggest online poker room in the world, @ACR_POKER
Saturday at 11:00 Pacific and play a tournament that donates all of the money to Feed America. By the way, that is the old DoylesRoom poker site. Your money is safe there! Tell them I sent you."

Brunson not only flattered Americas Cardroom by calling it "the second-biggest online poker room in the world", but also backed the safety of the funds there. Right now, the Winning Poker Network (ACR, PokerKing) occupies 8th place on the PokerScout list, and sites from 6th place have almost doubled its traffic.

Doyle Brunson has a remarkable reputation among poker players around the world, and, the purpose of this message is very noble. He is inviting wealthy players to take part in the All-in America Charity Tournament this Saturday. All the money raised in the event will be donated, there will be no prize pool, and the buy-in will be $10,000 without rake.

If you want to register to the tournament, you need to send a $10k donation to FeedAmerica, and after that, send the receipt to ACR support. After verifying the data, they will issue a ticket for the event.

All the money raised at this event will be donated to FeedAmerica — one of the largest charities in the United States, composed of about 200 food banks.

And for those who are not familiar with Americas Cardroom, let's recall that the site is directly related to Brunson's old Doyles Room project. The site, named after Doyle, was bought and absorbed by ACR in 2011, and from this moment, the history of WPN began.
