Americas Cardroom, now ACR Poker, is the flagship site of the Winning Poker Network (WPN), and it accepts players almost everywhere. When players ask whether ACR Poker is "legal" where they live, they usually mean something more practical: will the site accept me and let me sit down? This guide answers that question: availability and acceptance, country by country and state by state. We don't give legal advice; you'll need to check your local laws.

The short version: ACR accepts players from most of the world. Access is blocked in 18 countries and, inside the United States, in nine states. Everywhere else, including most of the Americas, the United Kingdom, and much of Asia, you can register and play. Deposits and withdrawals run on cryptocurrency, which is what lets the site serve players across so many borders. Can I play ACR Poker in the US?

Yes. ACR Poker accepts US players in every state but nine. The United States is the site's most important market; as WPN's flagship, it is one of the largest US-facing networks in the game. With nine states restricted, that leaves 41 where you can register and play.

The three states players ask about most are all open. California, Arizona, and New York sit outside the restricted list, so residents there can create an account and play. New York is the one that trips people up: players from New York can register and play at ACR Poker, since NY is not on the site's restricted list. US online poker is regulated at the state level, so check your current local rules before you play.

ACR also runs satellites, the cheap online qualifiers into live events, across the US, including the Moneymaker Tour and the WSOP. Payments are crypto-based, which keeps deposits and withdrawals moving even where card processors won't.

ACR Poker in Latin America

Latin America is one of the most relevant markets for ACR Poker. The site has been sponsoring the Enjoy Poker Tour in Uruguay for a couple of years, and is available across all the continent.

ACR Poker in Europe

Yes, but only in part. Access is closed for several major European markets (Spain, Germany, France, Italy and the rest of the restricted list above), while much of the continent stays open. Players in the United Kingdom, Poland, Portugal, Ireland and Romania, among others, can reach the ACR tables.

Americas Cardroom's focus has long been on the Americas, but we've noticed a steady flow of European players at the WPN tables, so the site started adding tournaments on CET time in its series. One note on search: if you're looking up "ACR Poker EU," acrpoker.eu is the site's main client domain — the ".eu" is branding, not a promise of access from any given EU country. Check the restricted list first.

ACR Poker in Asia

Although ACR Poker has not officially landed in Asia, residents of the giants China and India, among many others, are welcome at the tables. It is common to find Asian grinders playing tournaments or cash games at Americas Cardroom. In the future, the site's management may decide to promote more strongly in this continent.
