Arturo Vidal has joined GGPoker as a brand ambassador, becoming both the first Chilean and the first professional football player to represent the world’s largest poker room.
GGPoker has traditionally featured very few ambassadors outside the professional poker scene, but that changed recently with the addition of an athlete to its roster.
Arturo Vidal joined the poker room as its newest ambassador.
One of Chile’s most prominent footballers. During his career, Arturo Vidal played for leading European clubs, including "Juventus", "Bayern Munich", "Barcelona", and "Inter Milan".
Vidal is a two-time Copa América winner with the Chilean national team. He currently plays for "Colo-Colo". One of the key players of Chile's "golden generation," he played over 140 matches for the national team and won the 2015 and 2016 Copa América titles.
Vidal has long been interested in poker. In the summer of 2019, he and fellow Barcelona player Gerard Piqué took part in an EPT tournament with a €25,000 buy-in and finished fifth and second, respectively, earning approximately €487,000 for both.
The football player is active on social media and has a YouTube channel (33K+ subscribers). Arturo Vidal is no stranger to the gambling space either, having previously served as the face of Estelarbet.
Last year, Vidal also announced the launch of his own gaming platform, Juego con el King. King is his nickname.
The partnership with Arturo Vidal represents a strategic step for GGPoker, as the poker room continues to strengthen its ambassador lineup with high-profile figures from Latin America.
Bringing in famous personalities like Vidal helps GGPoker reach new audiences, particularly in Chile and other countries in the region.
