CoinPoker and Polygon Network: $100,000 in promotions
Crypto-friendly poker room CoinPoker has partnered with Polygon Network for transactions. They are launching three promotions to celebrate the partnership: a cash race with $15,000 leaderboards for NLH and PLO, a tournament series with $60,000 GTD across 14 events and a leaderboard, and a $2,500 depositors freeroll.
What is Polygon Network?
CoinPoker operates on the Ethereum platform. Due to the rapid increase in the Ethereum rate, players had to pay high fees for transactions, which negatively affected the relatively low traffic.
The solution was found in the transition of all transactions to Polygon Network, the so-called "network of secure second-level solutions." At the moment, more than 1 million addresses have been created on Polygon, and over 80 million transactions are carried out per day. In May 2021, Polygon became a part of Mark Cuban Companies (the companies backed by billionaire Mark Cuban).
Now players can make deposits and cashouts not only in ETH, BTC, USDT, and CHP but also in MATIC (the Polygon Network coin). The fees for the last three of them are much lower than they were until recently.
$30,000 Cash Game Race
The poker room decided to mark the beginning of this cooperation by offering several promotions:
From November 29 to December 12, 2021, CoinPoker will host the $30,000 Polygon Cash Game Leaderboard with two leaderboards for Hold 'em and Omaha.
Leaderboard points are awarded for each BB in rake generated at the cash game tables. The higher the stakes, the higher the number of points per 1 BB:
- $0.01/$0.02 - 0.5.
- $0.02/$0.05 - 2.
- $0.05/$0.10 - 4.
- $0.10/$0.25 - 8.
- $0.25/$0.50+ - 15.
There will be 100 paid places on each leaderboard, so not only high-stakes players will have a chance to win prizes (cash and tickets). It is very generous for a poker room where the average weekly number of cash game players is about the same.

$60,000 Tournament Series
After the race, the poker room will host a tournament series. It will be held in a familiar format for CoinPoker players: a small number of events, big guarantees, and buy-ins compared to regular MTTs and bounties for knocking out famous players.
From December 12-19, 2021, the Polygon Tournament Series with $52,500 GTD across 14 events will take place. An additional $7,500 will be offered via a leaderboard.

CoinPoker traffic
Although CoinPoker can be considered the most popular crypto poker room, the traffic is currently low.
In the evening hours (European time), there are about 20-25 active cash game tables and 20-30 participants in tournaments. The most popular poker variant is Hold 'em at NL5$-50$ stakes. The same goes for Omaha (including PLO5) in terms of stakes, but active tables are three times less. Also, you can usually find one active table at NL100$, NL200$, and even at NL500$.
On the other hand, such a low number of players should make new promotions more profitable, even considering that they can increase the traffic.
