GG Network introduces Rush & Cash tables with up to 65% rakeback
Run It Once Poker was launched 2 weeks ago (read our opinion here), and perhaps the most impressive feature was the rakeback program: Splash The Pot took rakeback to a whole new and unknown random level, with literally money falling from the sky. GG Network decided to copy the model and it's adding a similar format to its rooms: Rush & Cash.
GG Network will add Rush & Cash tables on February 27th, 2019
It's well-known that GG Network (PokerOK) is mainly focused on attracting recreational poker players, adding "fun" to the tables. At the end of 2018 a new format of fast poker, Chinese Rush, was introduced by the network. As for today, it's only available for tables in CNY; this format allows making a "Quick Fold" which instantly move the player to another table (in short a zoom variant).
Now, GG wants to make the Chinese Rush tables more attractive and will add a new feature called Cash Drops, which basically is a copy of the Splash the Pot program of Run It Once Poker: money will fall randomly from the sky and will be distributed among players. The rewards will go from 5BB up to 500BB and the smaller amounts will be added to the pot while the larger amounts will be automatically added to the player's stack (meaning that all players at the table receive a reward, not only the hand winner).
65% rakeback to all players?
The network promises a "65% flat rakeback for all players" using this model, although the randomness of Cash Drops makes us have second thoughts about it. Also, GG states that this model will introduce the "lowest rake" in the poker industry.
Rush & Cash tables will have some differences from regular tables, for example, all tables will have ante and a Button Blind paid only by the player playing with the button, instead of the traditional Small and Big Bling model. All-in insurance will be available but Run It Twice or Three times will be unavailable.
Only 3 stakes will be offered at the beginning, all in CNY (USD balance is automatically converted into CNY when seating at an R&C table):
Button Blind | Buy-in | Rake per Hand |
---|---|---|
¥0.10 | ¥5 - ¥25 | ¥0.02 |
¥1 | ¥50 - ¥150 | ¥0.2 |
¥10 | ¥500 - ¥1500 | ¥2 |
Rush & Cash festival
To celebrate the launching of the Rush & Cash tables, 3 leaderboards (one per stake) with 680,000CNY ($100kUSD) in total prizes will be held from March 1st to 31st. 900 players will receive a prize from $7 up to $7,527. All hands played at the Rush & Cash tables counts towards the promotion.

Conclusion
It seems that the poker industry was shocked by the Run It Once Poker launching: GG is currently ranked 5 in the PokerScout list according to the traffic and just 2 weeks after the RIO launching, a copy of its rewards program has been announced. Poker regs will warmly receive these innovations as something that attracts amateurs to the tables.
Now a new question arises: are random rewards the future of rakeback? The history will tell the truth, now every poker room is placing its bet for the future.
