GGPoker has announced a new partnership with Grosvenor Casinos, marking a significant step in the development of live poker in the UK. Under the agreement, the online platform will serve as the primary partner for all Grosvenor live series events, including Goliath — the largest regularly held poker tournament outside of Las Vegas.
A key highlight of the collaboration is a new incentive for online qualifiers. For the first time in the history of such collaborations, players who secure their seats through online satellites will be eligible for additional payouts on top of the standard prize pools.
GGPoker and Grosvenor Casinos announced a strategic partnership. The UK-based operator runs the country’s largest network of land-based casinos (50+) and is owned by The Rank Group. Although Grosvenor already operates its own online platform on the iPoker network, GGPoker will now take the role of its primary partner for live poker tournaments.
One of the standout elements of the agreement is the introduction of added payouts. Players who qualify for live events via GGPoker UK satellites or who make a buy-in directly through the platform’s cashier will receive extra rewards on top of the standard prize pool:
Bonus payments will be credited to the player’s poker account within five days after the tournament ends.
Goliath is the largest regularly scheduled poker tournament outside of Las Vegas. In 2025, the £200 buy-in event attracted 12,961 entries. Paul Worsley won £316,640 for first place.
This year, the tournament will be held from July 23 to August 2 in Coventry. The first event where players can earn GGPoker bonuses kicks off on May 14 at Grosvenor Casino Luton.
The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) is the largest and longest-running tournament series in the UK. It launched in 2007. The 2025 GUKPT season featured nine stages, including the Grand Final in London.
GGPoker is focused on boosting player EV: satellites to GUKPT events not only provide a path to live tournament seats but also act as a way to increase overall returns when players make the money.
The partnership with GGPoker UK is set to significantly boost the visibility and appeal of Grosvenor Casinos’ live series.
Goliath Main Event satellites are now available to players.
