Leon Tsoukernik and the largest stack in GGNetwork history
In the world of poker, casino owners are a special type of player. The most famous are Rob Yong and Leon Tsoukernik. The second one, owner of the famous King's Casino, recently decided to play tournaments and high stakes PLO games on GGNetwork. As a result, Leon set a mark for having the largest stack in the network history.
King's Resort owner plays big
King's Resort owner, Leon Tsoukernik, usually plays in the Trickett Room at partypoker. But in 2020, GGNetwork caught his eye, especially after the partnership signed before the WSOP Online when private tables (King's VIP) were added to the client. Now, Leon started playing off those tables.
All the action was played at Hold'em and Omaha, $200/$400 blinds, but, as usual, PLO was the favorite game. We mainly spotted HU matches against some professional players like Wiktor Malinowski, and considering that the maximum buy-in is $80,000, Tsoukernik had incredible results.
Tsoukernik's stack at a PLO $200/$400 tables exceeded $1,100,000. No one in GGPoker history has ever played with such a stack at their tables.
Last summer, we spotted some PLO nosebleeds games where the highest stack was $1,078,237, close to Leon's mark, but on a 6-max table. Both participants in this unannounced heads-up match won pots over 500 thousand dollars:
Leon Tsoukernik plays WSOP Online tournaments
Leon also played some tournaments in the current GGNetwork series; he joined not only PLO events but also Hold'em and 6+.
His best result so far was the 4th position in event WSOP #40, for $88,142. He also cashed in other tournaments:
- WSOP # 41 COLOSSUS $400 — 1,282 place ($841)
- WSOP # 47 $1,000 Short Deck — 27th ($2,679)
As you can see, Tsoukernik does not only play high roller events, but he also participates in many mid-stakes tournaments, so there is a fair chance to meet him at the tables these days.
