Mario Mosböck wins his third Triton title
CoinPoker ambassador Mario Mosböck won his third Triton Poker title, cashing $1,836,570
Former Austrian footballer and current CoinPoker ambassador Mario Mosböck won his third Triton Poker title. In this $50k event, the player received $1,836,570 for his first-place.
Mosböck's hat trick
The first stop of the 2025 Triton Series in Jeju is breaking all records. For example, the $50k event #8 raised 10% more entries than the same tournament last year.
Triton Poker Event #8 collected 215 entries, and its prize pool was $10,570,000, of which $1,836,570 went to first-place CoinPoker ambassador Mario Mosböck.
The Austrian does not often visit live series, and his statistics on TheHendonMob are closed. Mosböck gained fame thanks to Triton Poker. In 2023 the young player finished second ($2,690,000) in a $210k invitational tournament and won the $43k 7-handed Mystery Bounty, cashing in $718,000.
Interestingly, the Korean series has a similar outcome for Mario. Before winning Event #8, he took second place in Event #2 cashing in $856k.
Mario Mosböck now has three Triton Poker titles. In 2024, he cashed $1,191,196 at the $25K GGMillion$ tournament.
Final table
Mario came to the final table with the third-largest stack. Top players such as Bryn Kenney, Steve O’Dwyer, and Mike Watson were among his opponents.
Although Mosböck first eliminated Matas Cimbolas in 8th place with T7 vs. A9, the short stack chips did not help much at the table as Bryn Kenney dominated the action. The American eliminated the previous chip leader, Dylan Linde, in 5th place (Qj vs. AK), leaving him with 80BB in his stack while his closest pursuer had only 25BB.
In the TOP-3, Mario took all the chips from the Spaniard Juan Pardo in two hands, reaching heads-up. Even though Kenney had almost double the chips, the players made a deal, leaving $70k for the winner.
The heads-up lasted only five hands, three of which Mosböck was dealt AA, JJ, and QQ.
