The new poker brand Onyx Club has announced the schedule of the first stage of the series of expensive tournaments – Onyx Super High Roller Series. In total, the festival schedule, which will be held in the Cyprus Merit Casino, includes 10 tournaments with buy-ins from $10,400 to $102,000.

First ONYX Season

The first stage of the Onyx Super High Roller Series will be held at the Merit Casino in Cyprus (Karavas) from August 9 to 21, 2025.

Of the 10 tournaments on the schedule, six have a guarantee for a total of $19M. The buy-ins for the tournaments range from $10,400 to $102,000.

Two events are held under the GGMillion$ brand, meaning that Onyx Club (the organizer of the series) is collaborating with GGPoker.

The other two tournaments have received the “Invitational” status, meaning that only players who have received special invitations will be able to participate in them. In each such tournament, half of the players will be amateurs, the other half will be professionals. Two weeks before the start of the series, four pairs of participants in the Onyx SHRS NLH Invitational are already known:

According to the rules of the series, a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the entry fee must be made to guarantee participation in the Invitational events.

As a bonus, participants in invitational tournaments will receive 4 (registration in one tournament) or 7 free nights (registration in two tournaments) accommodation in a Deluxe King room.

It is noteworthy that all events of the Onyx Super High Roller Series will be played at 7-max tables. The final tables will start from the TOP-9 stage.

What is Onyx Club?

Onyx Club is a new private high roller club based at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel. The club was created by a famous British entrepreneur and player – Rob Yong.

The first recordings of high-stakes games at Onyx Club appeared a month ago on the YouTube channel of the English casino Dusk Till Dawn, which belongs to Rob.

In July, the club held its first public poker event, High Roller Weekend, with cash games at $100/$200 stakes and three tournaments. The largest event for $10K collected 137 entries. First place and a payout of $315,000 went to local player and head of Seven Goats Limited – Justus Held.

Last year, Onyx Club helped organize the first stage of the Super High Roller Bowl series outside the United States.
