Alan Keating, known for his creative plays in high stakes livestreamed cash games, played a couple of hands again that have generated quite a buzz online. On Hustler Casino Live, he made Quad 3’s against his opponent’s boat. Meanwhile, on No Gamble, No Future, he bluffed online poker legend Tom Dwan in a highly creative way, using the show’s special gimmick.

Alan Keating Dazzles Poker World Again With Massive Cash Game Hands

Alan Keating’s unorthodox style of play in livestreamed high stakes cash games has provided hours of entertainment for poker fans around the world. As such a style would dictate, he certainly had his up- and downswings in his games — however, lately, he has been on a winning streak again.

One hand in particular contributed a lot to that streak.

Quads for Keating in $1 Million Pot

Keating has recently played in a session of $500/$1,000 No Limit Hold’em cash game with a $1,000 big blind ante on Hustler Casino Live. Staying true to his brand, he decided to raise the not exactly premium holding of J3 off-suit out of the straddle over two limpers, making it $22,000 (22 BB’s). One of those limpers, Scott Palmer Fuhrman on the button, had an actual premium holding, however, AJ suited. So he evidently stayed in the pot.

The flop brought 3A3, giving the always adventurous Keating a set over his opponent’s top pair-good kicker. After a bet, raise, and a call, the turn brought even more joy for Keating with $277K in the pot already. The last 3 in the deck also hit, giving him quads and his opponent a full house.

After the turn checked through, Keating couldn’t risk another potential checkback from his opponent, so he went for the river overbet, making it $390,000 more to go. Since Palmer did not have much of a choice, he reluctantly called, making the pot over $1 million that was eventually pushed Keating’s way.

Keating also played a casual NLHE cash session on PokerGO’s show No Gamble, No Future. On that program, the producers spice things up with fun gimmicks.

Keating Bamboozles Dwan on No Gamble, No Future

In this hand, Tom Dwan was unlucky enough to spin himself a “must reveal” button (or, rather, a “must reveal” poop emoji plushie). This meant that if his opponent requested it in a heads-up pot, Dwan was required to reveal one of his hole cards.

However, Keating decided to take advantage of this special show rule in a highly creative way. He did not exercise his option to force Dwan to reveal one of his cards, and still moved all-in on the river with nothing but Queen high. With his abstention from using the “must reveal” gimmick, he made his hand look a lot stronger.

Dwan was holding a pair of Aces with a weak kicker on the river. Keating’s antics almost backfired, as Dwan asked himself out loud, “If he had it, wouldn’t he use the card?”.

However, after a long time in the tank, “Durrrr” eventually let it go. Phil Hellmuth, who was at the table to witness the action, tweeted about the hand in amazement.
