Battle of Malta Online Kicks Off on GGNetwork with €25 Million GTD

Battle of Malta Online Starts July 10th on GGPoker

As the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas is winding down, poker fans around the world can direct their focus to online poker again.

The GGNetwork is giving them quite a good reason to do just that. They are hosting the Battle of Malta Online on their sites between July 10th and July 31st.

The first event on the schedule is the €110 buy-in Kings Landing Opener with an inviting €250,000 guarantee. Event #7 Global MILLION$ European Cup is the first one to have a 7-figure GTD prize pool. Its first Day1’s starts also on July 10th, and they cost just €50 to enter. The final day is scheduled for the next Sunday, July 17th.

Event #12 Siege of Malta Bounty MILLION$ with a €105 buy-in and Event #16 GGMasters Royal Championship with a much larger €1,050 buy-in also have €1 million pledged by GG in their prize pools. They start on July 24th and July 31st, respectively.

However, the GGPoker Battle of Malta Online Main Event dwarfs even those two with its massive guarantee - €2.5 million! This major event starts on July 31st, and the buy-in is €555.

The events have a combined guaranteed prize pool of a hefty €25 million. The buy-ins start from €11 (for a non-featured event) and go up to €1,050 for the high rollers out there. Join GGPoker or Natural8 if you don’t want to miss out on the Battle of Malta action.

You can also take advantage of the leaderboard GG is running throughout the tourney series. You can collect points by entering and finishing high in as many tournaments as you can.

The top 25 finishers will win a live package to the live Battle of Malta Main Event in October.

Battle of Malta Live to Take Place in October 2022

That’s right, a Battle of Malta tournament will also be played on the live felt at Casino Malta in Saint Julian’s, Malta between October 4th and October 12th, 2022.

It’s a single event with 6 Day1’s - 4 regular ones and 2 turbos. The buy-in is €555, just like for the Main Event at the Battle of Malta Online on GG.

You can win a seat for this event, along with 5-star hotel accommodation paid for, through the aforementioned GGPoker leaderboard (25 packages up for grabs) or the special GG Road to Malta satellites (50+ packages up for grabs).

After a two-year hiatus forced by the dreaded pandemic, the live edition of the Battle of Malta tournament series returned at last in April 2022. Back then, Giuseppe Rosa from Italy won the €555 Main Event for €200,340. Half a year later, he and many other players will have the chance to chase poker glory once again on the small Mediterranean island nation.
