Benny Glaser won the Poker Players Championship at the 2026 WSOP, earning his ninth career bracelet. With this victory, he caught up with Johnny Moss and Erik Seidel for the most WSOP wins. Players with a combined 32 bracelets advanced to the final day of the tournament!
Benny Glaser recorded the biggest victory of his career by winning Event #60: $50,000 Poker Players Championship at the 2026 WSOP. The triumph earned him his ninth bracelet, moving him into a tie for sixth place on the all-time World Series of Poker bracelet leaderboard alongside the legendary Johnny Moss and Erik Seidel.
The victory was especially meaningful because the Poker Players Championship is widely regarded as the toughest event on the WSOP schedule, due to its mixed-game format and consistently tough field. A total of 108 players entered this year's edition.
The last player without a WSOP bracelet was eliminated in 13th place, and the six players who advanced to the final day had a combined 32 World Series of Poker wins.
For his victory, Glaser collected $1,343,764. It was only the second seven-figure cash of his career, with the largest remaining the $2,830,000 that he earned for his 2nd place in the WPT World Championship in 2022.
After the victory, Glazer said:
"Right now, it all feels a bit like I’m dreaming. I'm just so happy. It's truly a dream come true. This is the best achievement in the mixed games, and for me, this tournament is something special."
All of Benny Glaser's bracelets:
Benny Glaser started the game on Day 5 of the tournament as the chip leader. Four other players in the top six had roughly equal stacks.
Glaser pulled away from his opponents, winning a big pot against Phil Ivey and eliminating Christopher Tong in sixth place. Then Josh Arieh, who has seven WSOP victories, became the dominant force at the table. He took all the chips from Paul Volpe and Max Coleman in the Omaha rounds. And in the top three, he left Phil Ivey no chance.
As a result, Josh started heads-up with a solid lead. But Glaser consistently won pot after pot in rounds of various poker games. Arieh occasionally won individual hands, but over the course of two hours, he gradually lost his entire stack to his opponent.
In the final hand of Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, Arieh limp-pushed, and Glaser quickly called. Josh held A♠7♠4♦3♠ with good high-low potential, while Benny held A♥Q♦7♦4♣. The flop of K♣4♠3♥ gave Arieh the edge, but the queen on the turn improved Glaser's two-pair hand. The river, J♦, changed nothing, and Benny won the pot.
