Special HU VIP tables are located in a separate CGWC tab:

  • 💰 Minimum buy-in: 100 BB;
  • 🔄 Mandatory auto-rebuy;
  • 🚫 No ante or rake;
  • 👁️ The winning hand is always shown;
  • ⛔ Limps are prohibited.

The Heads-Up Cash Game World Championship is divided into two separate events: Hold’em and Omaha.

Players can choose:

  • Match start times;
  • Stake levels (with the option to increase them);
  • Number of tables used for the match (a minimum of two tables is required by default);
  • Omaha format — in addition to 4-card Omaha, players can opt for PLO5 or PLO6.

How to participate

The CoinPoker team will decide which players are selected for the championship and how many spots are available.

To apply, players can send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Heads Up CGWC Seat.”

Stages

The championship includes three stages:

  1. Group Stage: April 6–19;
  2. Semifinals: April 20–26;
  3. Grand Final: April 27–May 3 (2,000-hand final match).

Group Stage

All participants in the Heads-Up Cash Game World Championship are randomly assigned to evenly sized groups, with each player selecting a unique avatar.

Each competitor will play between 1,250 and 1,875 hands against every opponent, with the exact number confirmed before the stage begins.

The number of players advancing will depend on the total  number of participants:

  • 8 players: 2 groups of 4, 2 players each advance;
  • 12 players: 4 groups of 3, 1 player each advance;
  • 16 players: 4 groups of 4, 1 player each advance;

In each match, players receive points:

  • 🏆 For a win: 50 points;
  • 📊 For EV BB: from 0 to 150 points (10 EV BB = 1 point).

If two players tie for first place in a group, a playoff will be held. The winner is the first to gain 100 big blinds or more (based on actual results, not EV).

If a player fails to complete a match:

  • All participants receive 50 points (as for defeating this player);
  • His current opponent receives the full EV result;
  • The other players receive half of that EV.

Semifinals

The player with the most points after the group stage chooses an opponent.

Each match lasts 2,000 hands. Two players advance to the final.

Depending on the number of participants, an additional 1,000-hand match for 3rd or 4th place may be held.

Prizes

The winners of the Heads-Up Cash Game World Championship in each format (NLH and PLO) will be awarded  with a premium Rolex watch from CoinPoker.

The championship prize pool is formed of:

  • $10,000 buy-ins from each participant;
  • 50% contribution from CoinPoker on top of the total buy-ins.

The prize distribution and the number of paid places will depend on the total number of participants.
