GGPoker Signs Triple Crown Winner Niall Farrell as UK Ambassador

Niall Farrell Is The Latest Ambassador to Join GG

Last month, GGPoker proudly announced the signing of Ali Nejad and Jeff Gross as new members of Team GG. Now, GGPoker UK has someone special specifically for the network's British players as well.

It’s none other than Niall Farell, a Scottish poker pro with over $6.5 million in live tournament earnings.

More impressively, he has completed what is known in the poker world as “the Triple Crown”. That means he won a World Series of Poker, a European Poker Tour, and a World Poker Tour title as well. Only 9 players in poker history have managed to do so.

He won his first WSOP gold bracelet in the €25,000 High Roller NLHE event for €745,287 at the 2017 WSOP Europe. In October 2015, he took down the €5,300 EPT Malta Main Event for €534,330; and in November 2016, he won the $4,560 WPT Caribbean Main Event for €335,000.

He also made it to the final table at the €10,350 WSOP Europe Main Event in November 2017. He eventually busted in 5th place and won €239,639.

Farrell’s illustrious career started as a small stakes online tournament grinder on Bwin and PokerStars back in June 2008. Playing under the screen name “firaldo87”, he amassed $3.922 million in online tournament winnings across multiple sites.

He started getting cashes in live tournaments as well in August 2010. His first recorded live score is a victory right off the bat. He took down a UK & Ireland Poker Tour NLHE event for £525 on his “home turf”, in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Recently, however, Farrell experienced the rougher side of poker as well. In a brutal bad beat, he got knocked out of the WSOP Main Event on Day1B after his Ace-King ran into another Ace-King in a big all-in pot. You can expect a chopped pot most of the time, but not if one of the players hits a flush…
