Jeff Gross and Ali Nejad Join GGPoker
Two illustrious additions to the GG Team have been announced.
Jeff Gross Becomes “Voice of GGPoker”
35-year-old Gross from Ann Arbor, Michigan is not only a successful poker player, but he's an excellent poker content creator as well.
He has over $3.5 million in live tournament cashes and an additional $2 million in online tournament cashes. His biggest live score to date is from August 2013, when he came in 3rd in the $100,000 No Limit Hold'em - WPT Alpha8 event for $414,770 at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open in Hollywood, Florida. In December 2016, he cashed for $120,000 for a third place finish in a $540 tournament on Americas Cardroom .
As for his content creator accolades, he has 115,000 subscribers on YouTube. He mainly posts clips of his commentary that he did for online live-streamed tournaments. They usually get tens of thousands of hits per piece. He also hosts his own podcast.
Previously, Gross has been partnered with partypoker. However, he parted ways with the room in February of this year. While GGPoker has been steadily on the rise in player traffic, alas, party has been going in the other direction.
Ali Nejad Joins as GGPoker Media Ambassador
Nejad, hailing from California out on the West Coast, is perhaps best known for his colorful commentaries for ESPN's coverage of the World Series of Poker. He first took on the role of commentator at the 2009 WSOP.
He has also called a whole slew of other prestigious poker events, such as the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship, Poker After Dark, and the World Poker Tour. He'll now be using his expert poker commentary skills to promote the GGNetwork's rooms around the world.
However, Nejad's poker tournament resume isn't nearly as impressive as his new colleague Jeff Gross' with a single cash for $5,710 from the $2,500 NLHE event at the 2005 WSOP.
Fellow GGPoker ambassador and poker legend Daniel Negreanu had this to say about the two latest additions to the GG roster:
“GGPoker is the world's biggest online poker room, but that doesn't mean we're not focused on growing even bigger! Adding two of poker's best contest-creating personalities to the GGTeam means we'll better entertain our existing customers while broadening the game to reach new ones.”
This announcement comes shortly after controversial Instagram star Dan Bilzerian recently confirmed on a podcast that he in fact has left GGPoker. However, the poker room's team of sponsored pros still includes, aside from the two new additions, such greats as the aforementioned Negreanu, Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier, Jason Koon, and Fedor Holz.
