High Stakes Poker Productions, which produces the popular poker show Hustler Casino Live, announced the start of a strategic alliance with NSUS (parent company of GGPoker). HSPP co-owner Ryan Feldman discussed how this partnership could impact poker development in the United States.

NSUS keeps growing

One of the most important events of last year was the purchase of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) by the owners of GGPoker for $500M. Now NSUS continues its path to break into the American poker market.

High Stakes Poker Productions (HSSP) announced in an official statement that NSUS Group would become its strategic partner. The company bought the equity from former HSSP co-owner and Hustler Casino Live (HCL) producer Nick Vertucci.

Nick resigned in October 2024 following a sexual harassment allegation from player Julia McBride, and there have been rumors of Vertucci's final departure from HCL and HSSP ever since.

Recall that the first Hustler Casino Live live streams took place in August 2011, but the show became popular in 2022 when the stakes increased, and players like Jean-Robert Bellande, Phil Hellmuth, and Allan Keating arrived. In 2023, one of its streams played the largest pot in televised poker history.

HCL's YouTube channel has 1,519 videos with over 200M views and 374,000 subscribers.

Ryan Feldman and his prospects for Hustler Casino Live

Hustler Casino Live will continue to be produced under the new partner and the other co-owner, Ryan Feldman. He mentioned that:

“The partnership with NSUS opens a new chapter in the development of HSPP. With the support of this partner, we will be able to offer poker fans the best live broadcasts of high stakes games in the world on Hustler Casino Live.”

The show will now have more tools to compete with older brands such as High Stakes Poker, Poker Night in America, and Poker After Dark, which are now owned by the PokerGO channel.
The most direct way to increase the popularity of HCL would be to invite players affiliated with GGPoker. In addition to Daniel Negreanu and Fedor Holz, the following could make it to the show:

  • Alexandra Botez
  • Kevin Martin
  • Hristivoje ‘AllinPav’ Pavlovic
  • Greg ‘Goes All In’ Liow

Federman also believes that together with NSUS, they could organize live broadcasts of high-stakes cash games in Las Vegas during the WSOP.

Ryan wants High Stakes Poker Productions to become something like the ESPN of Poker, offering 24/7 poker content with broadcasts from the United States and worldwide.
