The largest tournament series from the top poker rooms is traditionally held in September. This year, WSOP Online, WCOOP, and OSS XL will be joined by a new series from CoinPoker.

From August 23 to September 28, 2026, the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC) will take place with a total guarantee of $50,000,000.

Over the past few years, CoinPoker has made significant progress in its evolution from a major crypto poker room into a platform capable of competing with PokerStars in both traffic volume and the quality of its tournament schedule.

Key features of the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC):

  • 🏆 The largest guarantee in the poker room’s history. $50,000,000 guaranteed across more than 700 tournaments, with buy-ins starting at $2.20. Previously, CoinPoker’s largest series were the Battle of Malta with a $30M GTD and the World Poker Masters with a $25M GTD.
  • 🌍 Regional format. Players from Europe, Latin America, and Asia will have dedicated schedules tailored to the time zones of each region. Within each region, tournaments will be divided into three tiers: High, Mid, and Low. The series will also feature separate leaderboards and teams of professional players, GOPC Teams.

  • 💰 $350,000 in additional prizes. This money will be distributed through regional leaderboards and special series mechanics.

CoinMillion

As part of the series, four special CoinMillion tournaments will be held, each featuring a $215 buy-in and a $1 million guarantee. They are scheduled for Sundays, September 6, 13, 20, and 27. Steps to these tournaments start with freerolls.

CoinMillion winners will receive a Gold Medal and be inducted into the CoinMillion Hall of Champions.

High Roller

For professional players and high rollers, the schedule includes tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $1,500 to $25,500. The two  largest events in this format each come with a $1 million guarantee:

  • $25,500 Super High Roller Championship. Starts September 22.

CoinMasters

The daily CoinMasters events will feature increased guarantees throughout the GOPC. For example, the flagship $150 CoinMasters BITCOIN will have a $400K guaranteed prize pool, with the guarantee increasing to $500K on September 20.

The schedule will also include a $25 Mini BITCOIN tournament on Sundays.

Weekenders

Weekenders are designed for players looking for huge guarantees with relatively affordable buy-ins.

The series features three tournaments from this brand:

  • $11 Mini Weekender $25,000 GTD.
  • $55 Weekender $100,000 GTD.
  • $125 Big Weekender $200,000 GTD.

Starting flights will be held from Thursday to Saturday, twice daily for each regional time zone. The final Day 2 flights begin on Sundays after the final flights conclude.

Promotions and leaderboards

An additional $350,000 in prize money will be shared across three promotions:

  • Regional Leaderboards.
  • Podium Race
  • Bankroll Boosts.

No additional registration is required to participate in these promotions.

$200,000 in regional leaderboards

Regional leaderboards are divided into three regions and three buy-in levels, resulting in a total of nine separate leaderboards.

RegionHigh TierMid TierLow Tier
Europe$55 000$30 000$20 000
LATAM$25 000$17 500$12 500
Asia$17 500$12 500$10 000

Leaderboard points are calculated using a special formula:

10 * [sqrt(A) / sqrt(C)] * [1 + log(B + 0.25)],

Where:

  • A - Total number of tournament participants
  • B - Buy-in
  • C - Player's final position

$20,000 in the podium race

The Podium Race features a separate mini-leaderboard where players earn points for winning medals:

  • Gold - 10 points
  • Silver - 5 points
  • Bronze - 2 points

The tournament buy-in does not affect the number of points awarded. At the end of the series, the top five players will split the promotion’s prize pool.

Bankroll Boosts: $130 000

Players who experience a prolonged losing streak and negative variance during a series will be able to receive additional bonuses. Options include:

  • Tournament tickets.
  • Personal missions.
  • Rewards for re-entering tournaments.

GOPC: Our breakdown of the series' structure and mechanics

The Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC) focuses primarily on scale and a multi-tiered structure. With $50 million in guaranteed prize money, more than 700 tournaments, and 37 days of action, the series is a full-fledged tournament championship rather than simply a collection of major events. At the same time, CoinPoker has divided the schedule into regional tiers and three tournament categories based on buy-ins — High, Mid, and Low — ranging from $2.20 to $25,500, making the series accessible to players from different countries and with varying bankrolls.

The additional promotions go beyond a single leaderboard. Players can compete simultaneously for $200,000 in the Regional Leaderboards, $20,000 in the Podium Race, and extra rewards through Bankroll Boosts. There are nine regional leaderboards in total, providing multiple independent ways to earn additional payouts through active participation in the series.

The medal system is another notable feature. More than 700 Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals turn individual tournaments into part of the overall GOPC competition. Gold Medals are not limited to the digital format: winners receive physical trophies; this is something more commonly associated with live poker series.

Overall, GOPC stands out as a comprehensive system that combines a large tournament schedule, regional competitions, and several parallel reward mechanisms. For CoinPoker, it represents a significant step from a major online series toward a full-fledged championship with its own achievement and ranking system.
