How to Qualify for WSOP 2022
A number of major online poker rooms run satellites for the upcoming World Series.
WSOP Satellites on GGPoker Starting from Just $1
The 2022 World Series of Poker is just around the corner. After 3 years, the poker world will finally be able to enjoy the world's biggest poker tournament series live, during the summer, in Las Vegas again. The greatest attraction every year is the WSOP Main Event.
The $10,000 buy-in may sound a little steep to most poker players. However, thankfully, online poker rooms offer chances to win a seat for as little as $1.
The world’s leading online poker room, GGPoker, has had a very close connection to the World Series of Poker since 2020. A whole host of bracelet events have been held on the platform. Those include the $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event in 2020, which had a world-record $27.560 million prize pool.
Thus, it is no surprise that GG is running plenty of satellite tournaments to give their players a chance to play in this year’s WSOP Main Event. Apart from the buy-in, the winner’s package will also include $1,200 for a round ticket to Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as accommodation fully paid for at Bally’s Hotel & Casino for the duration of the event. The value of the entire package is an inviting $12,500.
There are dozens of these events running on GG Poker every day. The cheapest has a buy-in of $1, while the highest buy-in satellite is $1,050. You can check the exact schedule in the tournament lobby in your GGPoker client. You’ll find a tab dedicated to the WSOP events on the top right corner of the window.
GG’s subscription-based poker app ClubGG is also running satellites to the 2022 WSOP Main Event.
The WSOP Takedown on Winning Poker Network
The US-friendly Winning Poker Network (PokerKing, Americas Cardroom, y Black Chip Poker) is another room that you can rely on for WSOP satellites year after year. This year is no different.
Their WSOP Takedown is running from May 5 to May 22, so there’s plenty of time left to jump into action and secure your Main Event buy-in through ACR. They are even running freeroll satellite feeders every day at 6:05 PM EST.
Three main Satellites are scheduled. They are set to take place on Sundays, May 8, May 15, and May 22. The first two have a $109 buy-in, while the last one on the 22nd has a $215 buy-in. You’re just in time to catch the last two. Their prize pools contain 5 and 10 WSOP packages, respectively.
The value of a package is $12,500: $10,000 for the buy-in, and $2,500 for travel expenses. If you win one, you’ll also have the option to ask for its value in cash.
$13,000 WSOP Packages Up for Grabs on 888Poker
As you can tell, 888Poker has been the most generous with their WSOP packages by adding that extra $500.

This year’s WSOP Main Event will take place at a new venue, Bally’s Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. Day1’s run from July 3 to July 6.
