Nick Schulman has become a new member of the Poker Hall of Fame
On July 11, 2025, the results of the voting for the 64th member of the Poker Hall of Fame were announced. This time, Nick Schulman received the most votes.
From the first time
Players who are 40 years old or older can get into the Hall of Fame. In the history of the Hall, only three players have entered the Hall on their first try: Chip Reese, Daniel Negreanu, and Phil Ivey.
On July 11, 2025, Nick Schulman joined the list, becoming the 64th member of the Poker Hall of Fame nine months after turning 40.
The announcement of the voting results took place during the $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty tournament as part of the WSOP.
Schulman expressed his sincere gratitude to the jury, and also noted the support of his family, friends, and fans. The player hoped to win the voting, but still called the results “surreal.”
Interestingly, in addition to Nick, the following also made it into the top 10 nominees for the first time this year:
- Phil Galfond. A well-known specialist in HU and Omaha, who is currently busy developing American online poker and the BetRivers room.
- Scott Seiver. the title of the Best Player of the World Series 2024, a versatile player.
Shulman also beat out several very famous names in American poker, led by Mike Matusow, who has already been shortlisted for the Poker Hall of Fame 11 times (!)
Nick's achievements
Shulman has been playing poker professionally since he was 19, although he could easily have devoted his life to billiards. In 2005, he became the youngest WPT champion. In total, Nick has won more than $24M in live tournaments during his career. No one knows exactly how much his bankroll increased after expensive cash games in the poker rooms of Las Vegas.
During his entire time of participation in World Series tournaments, he has earned 7 bracelets:
